Mery? Mery Merphy?

No, no, think Portuguese, think Penicheiro. Think Maiga-Ba, Machanguana, Berthieu.

Cam pictured her. Liberty fans, especially, appreciated her (cough) (watch that plane you'll get hit!) Rockers fans adored her.

(Sniff) I'm getting misty-eyed here.

The pic was Mery Andrade the rocker flopper...and whiner too

Yeah, but she was our whiner so that makes it different, doesn't it? Surprised

Mery frustrated officials with her acting skills long before players named Janel and Cappie got 'em so confused that the flops started to decide games.

In Mery's case, the officials just started calling everything against her, including penalizing her for really bad acting jobs. But Mery never complained about bad calls or called for another player's suspension after a game.

Ah, I see. My memory of the Rockers is dim. I mostly just recall Penny.

Yikes. This is why I lose in scrabble. You need to stop making fun of my spelling now, you're going to give me a trawma and I'll have to see a sighcologist. Smile

I am taking this as a double negative. Undoubtedly what you meant to say is that the Shock players are by any means, thugs.

Ugh, Mery Andrade, at least I got to give her a piece of my mind in PORTUGUESE. She never once flopped again at the Garden after that. Wink
Tari was funny as hell. Nobody had that flair for the dramatic. The mummy gear and do-rag only made it funnier.

I am so proud to be a member (Since the beginning of the franchise, I might add) of 1) the most hated team in the league 2) Currently the best team in the league.

All this hating on my team makes me proud to be a fan.

Very Happy

GO SHOCK.

That alone should be considered an oxymoron. Besides Bruce Bowen the Spurs don't have a bad bone in them! LOL!!!! I like the Spurs (more like I like Tim Duncan) as much as the next gal, but I doubt the Spurs are the "thugs" of the NBA! Wink

Uh, other than Bowen, they weren't hated as Bad Boys. Heck, Tim Duncan is the epitome of a "good character guy." The Spurs were hated because they were boring to watch.

I think I disliked Duncan more than any of them honestly..(Well, except Horry..*leave poor Nashy alone you Bastard..*) But I actually like Parker and Ginobli.
