Superb Shooting as Shock defeat Sky

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.- The Detroit Shock played host to the Chicago Sky, hoping momentum from their 111-80 victory over Phoenix on Sunday would carry over to Tuesday’s game. In the first of four games between the teams this season, the 8-10 Sky came into the Palace looking for their first win ever against the Shock. Detroit (12-5) resorted to their most-frequently used lineup for the game. Embattled center Kara Braxton got the nod from head coach Bill Laimbeer after he promised a smaller role for the All-Star out of Georgia.
