Mysticfan get used to threes, the mystics will see plenty of zone. That's what is forcing the storm outside, not much penetration, poor ball movement, so you have to shoot your opp out of the zone.

She has posted up a total of 2 times in the entire 1st half.
I don't understand what the hell Seattle is doing. They got 2 quick fouls on LL and then completely forgot about anything resembling an interior game. They should have attacked LL relentlessy until she got #3. It's quite sickening actually.

That's a very soft zone LA is playing. They are leaving gaping holes in the paint but Seattle is just refusing to attack it. If LJ would get her ass down on the blocks a little more often and post up, it would expose how soft the zone is. It would also permit the shooters to get better looks because the defense would have to pay attenion to her. I'll bet Anne is reading her team the riot act about that right about now. I expect Seattle to be MUCH more aggressive in the 2nd half.

Now she's 2-13 from 3, Lennox is 2-9.

Yeah...it was the first time in 84 games, IIRC. That's one impressive streak. |
She was eight short of tying the league record of 92, set by Cynthia Cooper. Coop's streak went from 21 June 1997 to 1 June 2000 and was broken against the Mercury.

Look on the bright side, it's not as if she can do much worse!
Anne, burn your "LJ is a 3" notes.
It's first game of the season and LJ hasn't played anything but a couple of preseason games since last season. I'm not too concerned about LJ's and the Storm's stinkiness (yet). |
