Mysticfan get used to threes, the mystics will see plenty of zone. That's what is forcing the storm outside, not much penetration, poor ball movement, so you have to shoot your opp out of the zone.

She has posted up a total of 2 times in the entire 1st half.

I don't understand what the hell Seattle is doing. They got 2 quick fouls on LL and then completely forgot about anything resembling an interior game. They should have attacked LL relentlessy until she got #3. It's quite sickening actually.

That's a very soft zone LA is playing. They are leaving gaping holes in the paint but Seattle is just refusing to attack it. If LJ would get her ass down on the blocks a little more often and post up, it would expose how soft the zone is. It would also permit the shooters to get better looks because the defense would have to pay attenion to her. I'll bet Anne is reading her team the riot act about that right about now. I expect Seattle to be MUCH more aggressive in the 2nd half.

Especially since Leslie has 3 fouls! Shocked LJ is 3-11 and 10 of them were 3s Shocked

Ok, ditto w/everyone else on being trigger happy w/the 3's.

But ...... I know LJ spent much time recovering & rehabing this off season , so maybe its just me & my TV but does LJ look alittle beefy to anyone else ? Shocked

It's not just you...I was thinking the same thing after her last missed three.

Her face is fuller. I wonder if she is 100%, the way they continued to have her play on the perimeter even though it wasn't working.

I'm very sad. LJ's double digit scoring streak ended today. Crying or Very sad

Yeah...it was the first time in 84 games, IIRC. That's one impressive streak.

She was eight short of tying the league record of 92, set by Cynthia Cooper. Coop's streak went from 21 June 1997 to 1 June 2000 and was broken against the Mercury.

Another reason why LJ shouldn't play the three... that is unless they somehow get a rebounding machine like Ford to play the 4 Confused

Yeah, I noticed that record falling too... somebody should have been aware of that streak and gotten her the ball Confused

Look on the bright side, it's not as if she can do much worse!

Anne, burn your "LJ is a 3" notes.

It's first game of the season and LJ hasn't played anything but a couple of preseason games since last season. I'm not too concerned about LJ's and the Storm's stinkiness (yet).
