I guess they do but I senior against a freshman, that makes it strange.

The article didn't say they were fighting each other. I read it as they were both involved in an altercation with someone else.

Givens, who just completed her eligibility, and Burtts, a red-shirt freshman, were allegedly involved in an altercation that required intervention at the university's Academic Enhancement Center Monday morning.

It's pretty much left open, my first impression was they were fighting each other, but the wording of the article isn't definitive.

Well she'll have to fight hard for a spot on the Mercury Team so maybe she was just preparing Wink

She is another player that slipped and I mean slipped. What was the knock on her and why is nobody up in arms?

The last game Givens played for MTSU in the NCAA tournament was horrible, I'm sure the WNBA GM's took notice.

Not sure what's to be up in arms about?
For me regardless of draft positions the big picture & reality for all the girls becomes, do they have ‘enough’ of what it takes to make & contribute to a team.

I saw her play in person & not going in the first round anyway was not a surprise. She’s not a PG. She didn’t appear to be more then an average shooter. Not sure what she showed or didn’t show at the pre-draft camp. Could be that teams saw some things in other players that better fit their teams. But drafted or not she’s going to a camp so that’s her chance to prove folks may have made a mistake in passing on her.

Seems at this point she could head to AZ early & get a head start Razz
Really though, that's tough, suspending them from the yr end banquet. Not sure what would be the better punishment, not allowing them to go or allowing them to go and face the team, fans & the public and apologize for their actions. Oh well wish them both luck as they move on.

Alisa Kresge(Marist) pretty much dissected every weakness of Givens' game in a post game interview and made her sound very mediocre.
