I believe she's the missing person in the boxscore.
The thought of rolling out Maria Conlon as a secret weapon amused me. Quiver in your boots, everybody! |

Actually, if you do tha math, there are 13 points missing from the Sun box score, and 2 from the Lynx, meaning that some of the "DNP" players did play and in fact score. We know Conoon scored, but it also said during the game that Sottana and Soraqna both scored as well, and they are listed as "DNP". I'm thinking those two players were Anna Montanana and Jess Strom.

Why do we think Conlon is the blank and not one of the male Euros?

I'm pretty sure I saw Conlon in the Live Stats having the same statline as the blank. |

Because if you checked the stats during the came, Conlon was on there, along with the three male euros, so process of elimination I guess.

Strom was 6-6 from the line, 2-9 from the floor.
Conlon 2-3 frm floor, both 3's and 2 assists.
Both looked VERY GOOD.

More on this from today's Courant.
There was scurrying, scrapping and frenetic gamesmanship at point guard as Maria Conlon and Jess Strom clearly used Sunday's exhibition against Minnesota to assert themselves as front-runners for one of the backup positions behind starter Lindsay Whalen.
There was Conlon, taking a pass from Whalen at midcourt, spinning and falling to the ground but still managing to bounce a pass back to Whalen for one of her two assists. There was Strom, directing a corps of rookies against the Lynx's starters in the closing minutes, her 6-for-6 free-throw shooting one of the reasons the Sun didn't blow a 21-point lead.
Conlon made 2 of 3 three-pointers for six points in 16 minutes. Strom shot 2-for-9, but scored 11 points in 19 minutes.

I agree with DTS that Conlon and Strom looked good....losts of fan support for Conlon as well, of course. Summerton was ok, but didn't really stand out. Same could be said for the rest of the new recruits. Still, it was great to have the (pre) season off and running!
