Yes, they are! Rutgers offense is a bit jumbled.

Is it just me, or are these two people broadcasting the game better than anything we've had in forever?

I miss Doris but they are pretty good.

Speaking of pretty good. Ashley Houts isn't looking like a freshman out there! I love her energy.

The announcers are okay.

I would like to take this opportunity to declare Candace Parker as the Best Player In America. Why? Because ESPN has already decided it, and that's who they're gonna pimp.

Remember, they're infallible because they're ESPN.

And who is this E. Piphany Prince they keep talking about? Rolling Eyes

Laughing I noticed that too and it's bugging me!

Otherwise, this duo has done well.

This is beginning to look like Georgia's State Farm Tip-Off game against Baylor last year. They went on a huge drought and lost it.

Brittany Ray is obviously the frontrunner for the "Breakout Actress" Award. Ivory Latta, watch out.

Really?

I wasn't on the edge of my seat but seeing so many young players excel was exciting to me. I L-O-V-E Ashley Houts. She will give people fits all season long.

Rutgers has to keep their pride. This was a game that, in my opinion, was not in their favor anyways. They are a very young team. They showed signs of that with their inconsistancy on both ends. They have nowhere to go but up. By the end of the season, they could surprise some people.

That's a pretty ragged FF team OU is sporting, with about 10 left in the first. Do you suppose anybody ever told them they should look for rebounds on free throws? Do you suppose anybody ever told them they ought not be sending the opponent to the free throw line? Or to box out? Or to not stand flat-footed on defense?

It's the first game of the season in front of a nice-sized crowd. They'll be okay.

Oklahoma was impressive! Everyone on their team was just clicking today. I told you Thompson would be fun to watch! She had some poor plays, but she is a rookie and this was in front of a HUGE crowd.

DePaul will not be the DePaul of old. Two of this teams best players are transfers and will not play until next year. I expect Depaul to do well this season but this was an incredibly poor game for them to be favored in at all.

Boomer Sooner! Wink

Add me to the list of Ashley Houts fans. She was so much fun to watch out there and it was only her first game. How can you not love a scrappy player like her? Georgia has a star in the making on their hands. It'll be interesting to see her playing with Humphrey and how she develops through her carrear.

Houts and Robinson both looked good today. Houts looked especially good.

Rowsey looked really ready to contribute and Darrah did her usual thing of being able to contribute in all facets of the game.

I feel like Georgia staved off what would be one of the more complicated tasks for their team - a team of incredible athletes who wouldn't quit attacking. The impact of missing Humphrey, in my opinion, is far worse than Rutgers missing Ajavon considering a collection of players contributed what Ajavon generally did anyhow. Humphrey would have been really difficult for Rutgers to handle, and would have really tipped the scales in Georgia's favor. Still, I think that Rutgers has a lot to be excited about.

But back to Houts. Many freshman have really strong initial showings, often drawn from a big high and fearlessness coming into their first game. Houts looked poised more than excited, and really ran the team with a veteran sense on the offensive end, while really making her presence known on defense. I am interested to see her go up against Hornbuckle, which should be a great test for her.

Finally, I loved Georgia's full team effort in this game. Marshall, Houts, and Robinson will be quite an impressive class three years down the road.

Ashley paris did really well. She had 16 points and I think like 4 assists and 5 rebounds.
