Other than switching VJ & C-Rob (VJ's a 2 guard who can play the SF, but C-Rob's our main SF), I think you're fine.

I think you'll see Coco on the roster instead of Chones or Aiysha. And, my guess for the FA is Merlakia Jones...not many guards left as UFAs. I like this roster. Could be fun to watch.

| I know Coco is missing, but I thought adding her would make the lineup too guard-heavy. Maybe she will be involved in a trade? Ihate to see her go, but I don't see her adding much to the lineup.

Lil Meek and TJ are PGs, that leaves Erica Taylor and the yet-to-be-named FA as only other guards beside AB. Don't forget, we lost SDS. I think Coco makes for a stronger roster than Taylor.

You're missing Jen D and Futrell from the CT roster. Futrell is currently injured. I also think Valek or another to be determined FA will have as much if not a better chance than Conlon. Mike T. has that almost reverse UConn bias; if you're from UConn you better earn a spot, because he's not gonna keep you around put up with the crap from fans for her sitting on the end of the bench.
Also keep in mind Wendy Palmer has been offered a contract.

| You may be right on that. I also hate to see Aiysha Smith go. There were a couple games last year where I was impressed with her footwork and some of those moves she has. I think hse has alot of potential.

I like Smith too, but after several years in the league potential doesn't keep you on the roster. Unless they decide to solidify the Louisiana connection, I expect they'll cut her loose.

More and more everyday I gotta think that something is happening in Charlotte. If Feaster and Sam are to be kept, either Feaster is playing the 2, and Ty Lewis or Mazz is going to be moved, or you are gonna have one very unhappy very highly paid small forward.
Personally, I would like to see Ty and Mazz split the time at the 2 because they are both very different players. I think Mazz can become a premiere shooter in the league if she continues to progress her game and find her way. Ty Lewis has pushed her way in and made a role for herself, scoring in bunches and making herself an impact player. I think Mazz as the starter with Ty Lewis as the 6th woman is appealing. However, I can't sell myself on having both Mazz and Feaster in the lineup at the same time unless it is the end of the game and a 3 has to be taken.
Regardless, I am definitely starting to jump on board with the belief that there is just too much of not enough in Charlotte once you get past Staley. TSB is a strong prospect to me, but needs to be shown her way again by a good post coach. Offense must be worked through her.

Yes, Frohlich seem smore versatile to me. I have never been a fan of Jessica Moore.

Frohlich has one thing Jessica Moore doesn't have: range. Linda can shoot the 3 quite well but Jess can't. Now in the paint, Jess might have the edge. She's more athletic than Fro.

| Jessica Moore never did anything for me. She couldn't hit free throws to save her life. Her jump shot is slow. She goes through tremendously long stretches of ineffectiveness.

well, i was gonna say i wanted to see edwige lawson play 'n' stay, but why isn't she listed on new york's current roster? we signed her on april 4.

This is just an assumption that they will sign her - she has been a fairly solid player for Indiana. I'm assuming they are looking to see what they get in camp before possibly re-signing her.

Because she's foreign. Osipova and Vodopyanova aren't listed on the Shock and Storm rosters, respectively, and neither Feifei nor Miao are on the Monarchs roster.

I think she could...she has a sweet shot (think Erin Thorn's nothing but net) and much better ball handling skills and she penetrates too.

This should sort out the Sun situation a little bit; Mahoney will not count as a spot against the cap!
For the 2005 season, Mahoney will be placed on a suspended-medically inactive list so she will not count against the Sun's salary cap. She will stay in Kansas to finish out the semester, which ends on May 13, and begin some conditioning work on the injured ankle. She will also try to work on finishing up her degree in family studies.
She will then join the Sun later this summer to begin working under the watchful eyes of team trainer Georgia Fischer and strength and conditioning coach Lisa Ciaravella.

The Aussies are all on their respective rosters.
As for Russia, there is that rumoured edict that their federation sent out, instructing them to stay at home. |
