When I heard we weren't going to have Taj or Yo - and then Lisa had to pull out, I thought we should put in players like Candace, and Ford and use this as a warm-up for the 2008 Olympics. If we come home with a bronze and our new coaching staff figures out what we need for "next time" then we will have done very well.
That's pretty much how it's working out. I'm really not that bummed about the loss to Russia. We learned that our team needs some serious tuning up in the next couple years. We also learned that the Diana and Candace really are the future of Team USA. Catch will only be 29 or 30 in 2008 and I don't see Lisa or Tina slowing down in the next couple years.
Everything's fine.

Now win that medal!

I like the way we've come out. That was a great quarter of play after a devastating loss. Both teams are looking pretty good so far!
