I'm really glad he didn't take the midget PG.

He seems to be stacking on the bigs (Michelle, Tari, Tina and now Sancho). I wonder if the Comets still plans on trading Sheryl.

There is one good thing that comes out of all of this...

GOODBYE TIFFANI JOHNSON!

I'm happy for Comet fans everywhere Wink
...will she contribute a lot this season...is it accurate to classify her as a "project?"

her numbers were comparable to Sandora Irvin in the same conference so I wouldn't call her a project. I only got one of my mock picks right and it was Sancho (who nobody else had going at #5).

senior seasons

Sandora
33 games, 19.9 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 150 blocks, 82 steals, 46% FG, 73% FT

Sancho
30 games, 18.8 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 29 blocks, 93 steals, 50% FG, 62% FT

Lyttle needs to work on her shotblocking and FT's.

I wonder what that Yolanda Griffith to Houston trade is that the announcers briefly mentioned. Yo for Snow???

Looks good! She's a producer of some flat out outstanding numbers for two seasons in a row. On paper she looks like a first round pick, she's local, and she's adding to the notion of a bigger Comets squad.

What's the latest news? Yo for Snow... hmmm. That's a coin toss if I ever saw one. But I'm inclined slightly to youth in this case. Youth and hope.

Me too. There's still a chance that Snow will be the core piece to the future of this team. Last year, she faced the lost of her mom. That definitely contributed to her having an off year. She has played excellent basketball during the offseason in Italy (at one point, averaging 15.5 ppg & a league-leading 13.6 rpg), and has her love for the game again. She's even dunking again.

Yep, worked out even better that HOU got a great steal in the backup PG Dant... Taking Lyttle also works in that she can play C and Snow can play PF again, which she has done before and well when Tina was out...

Certainly what I would have done... As I said, I generally don't like PGs under 5'7". I'll go as low as 5'5", but 5'3"??
Shocked

I saw her play in 04's sweet sixteen game at Santa Barbara. I think she might still be a project. Might because she could have really improved her senior year, but she was still pretty raw last year, I thought.

Lyttle dunks, too. Now, if that don't motivate Snow to throw down a few, nothing will. I know she don't want the rook to do it first,
after she's been talking about it for years

Sancho Lyttle was asked what she knows about the Comets. She Answered: "I know Sheryl Swoopes plays there. I know Tina Thompson plays there."

Q. What developments were the biggest surprises of the Draft?
A.M.: I was surprised Temeka Johnson fell as far as she did. Houston led us to believe they wanted a point guard but it took Sancho Lyttle inside.

"fell as far as she did"?!?!?
she fell one spot from where you expected her to be taken!
Ann Meyers is so stupid.
