Iziane to Seattle is a nice pick. I remember saying she'd be a perfect fit there. If she can improve her defense, they're gonna be that much better.

I stated several weeks ago the Storm would sign Izzy. Now, why did it take so long?

Remember last year, when the Storm had done exactly nothing up until Thursday night before the Draft? And we all know how that turned out.
Also, do you really think convincing Suzy to come play over here for significantly less money is nothing?

I guess I forgot about that...I guess the real kicker is WHO THE H3LL is Eva Montesdeoca Lopez? I don't want to toot my own horn, but if I've never heard of her, she is not good enough to play in the WNBA.

She's training camp fodder... you have to have someone to practice against. With Suzy probably coming to camp late, it's worthwhile to have someone to take her spot until she gets here. I'm sure Lopez will get cut the day before Suzy reports. Just like one of the guards is gonna get cut right before Sue finally gets to town. You have to have enough people to run good drills.

I have a feeling that the Storm might peter out from the F5 it is (tornado F scale has 6 levels...0 to 5...same as the number of wins to get a championship last year) to a few "light sporadic rainshowers" this summer. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems that it's gonna end up being the Birdy and LJ show all over again.
Like I said...I hope I'm wrong.
But is it fun having a team you can play with meteorologically...when you're weather-crazy like I am, it's a lot of fun to do, that's for sure!

I think Shaq Williams is training camp fodder, especially if Bibby does indeed have a guaranteed contract. |
