Check out http://womenshoops.blogspot.com/ for the article posted by Cam. The story is one of survival from a childhood filled with challenges for this young athlete. Thanks Cam for finding the article it made me cry.

In either place, Pilight, it is an excellent article, well written and worth the read.

no way. cam's version was way better. way, way better. he called it a "must-read." plus, he did it at like 2 in the morning Phoenix time. you gotta give that crazy lawyer some credit for being up all night and still covering basketball.

Thanks for the props, womens_hoops, but I only found the article because Pilight posted the link. All I did was read the article, make sure it was posted in the Blog (since more people look at the blog than post here), and add commentary.

So, credit to PI - "I should have invented Google" - LIGHT. I just had to make sure that article made the Blog.

And if we are talking commentary, Ted and Sara's blog is fast becoming my source for all things newsworthy (since there are always important legal decisions, articles, op-eds, etc. there).

yep, we're all about self-promotion. The blog is in fact just a precursor to our planned third-party presidential candidacy for the 2012 race. We will try to unseat Hilary after it turns out she really is an evil robot.

that's why we don't have any pictures -- because it would so thoroughly undermine that goal.

It was nice to see it on the blog, especially since Ted's been so down on Irvin.

what the devil are you talking about? I've never said anything remotely bad about Irvin on the blog. Covered all her records. Included her all year in my list of POY candidates. And when Mercedes Meyer made a list of the best 5 in the country, I said she was stupid for excluding Sandora.

http://womenshoops.blogspot.com/2005/01/at-star-telegram-mercedes-mayer-lists.html

On this board -- earlier in the year, I that I'd really never seen her play, so I didn't know what to think one way or another. After I finally got to see her play, I said I was a little disappointed, but that I'd still probably take her with the top pick (ahead of McCarville, assuming no Currie).

Nah, he's never stayed up all night to follow a draft in a foreign country.
