Another thread made me think of this but its rather random. I would like to suggest to the Chicago organization to not have any sort of name associated with star. I fear if they do, Texas will steal it. In the NHL, Dallas stole the North Stars, and in the WNBA, San Antonio stole the Starzz.

Different astronomical phenomena should be used. Chicago Pulsars has a nice ring to it and you can give people a little more knowledge when you have explain what it is.

Uh...do not name the team a female version of bull or bear. Or any animal for that matter.

Hey, Keegan...what about the Chicago Platypi? Now that's not a bad idea. Has a nice ring to it. And it's better than all the names of teams where the plural is a boring little s at the end.

Although I have to wonder if there's a platypus within a five hundred miles of Chicago if it's not in a zoo.

I'm all for it. The platypus would make a very nice mascot as well.

My long term project is to have Scorch be a platypus. Preferably not purple as well.

Don't just name the Chicago team after the Wind, name them the Force of Nature, color the team Royal Blue, name the team mascot Alligator, sponsor them with Ritz Crackers, and if you don't know what I'm talking about the Devil's Gonna Have a Field Day cause I'm talking about Ms Koko Taylor, Chicago's Queen of the Blues.

I'm tripping. I just found out she's coming to Pittsburgh again this summer. Two days after my birthday! Woohoo!

The Chicago Roxie Harts is still my favorite... followed more seriously by the Chicago Sirens.

If it were musicals, maybe Blaze could remember how to do her job. She could do a medley from the Fantasticks. Unfortunately, she would start with "Try to Remember," and she probably couldn't. Smile

Who knows? Maybe Blaze sings to the "I Am What I Am" tune! Or maybe she thinks she "Defies Gravity".

Gotta love "Wicked"! Wink

Or maybe Blaze would do a Dreamgirls song for the F_Blaze_Coalition:

"And I am telling you...I'm not going..."

Was that part of OldeCoach's "Messages Laura Harper was sending?" Remember that one?
