Sax in the City...

Recalling her childhood, she said: "I wanted to learn how to play the saxophone, but seeing as I didn't have as much money to buy it, I joined the school band and they gave me a trombone.

"I still play it, but soon I will be able to buy a saxophone."

Snow scored 22 points, but the biggest two came a couple of minutes before half-time when she soared 3.05m off the floor and dunked on a fastbreak.

Maybe that was linear and not vertical length...maybe?

I just hope she brings some of that stuff home with her...

It will be a "beautiful thing"

In a January WNBA.com feature, Snow shared some of her New Year’s resolutions and goals, both personal and professional, for 2005. Coming in at #5 – “Dunk twice in one game.”

Michelle Snow, Houston Comets"

A closer walk with God.
Enjoy each moment as though its my last.
Always say I love you to my family and friends.
Follow my intuition.
Dunk twice in one game."

During the 2003 season, after LL's fluffy dunk, I kept waiting for Michelle to "throw one down" during a game. I actually saw her go from the floor to the rim during warm ups before one game...and the crowd did go nuts. Swoopes had everybody clear out from under the bucket and Big Girl slammed one home.

I never left a game early the rest of the season because I knew she might dunk it and I would miss it. The situation has to be just right for one of the girls to go for it. Since she has put it on her list of things to accomplish this year, I will be watching and waiting every game.
