We are going to be trying out Fan Bloggers this season. So the search is (unofficially) on.

Starting with 3-5 writers early on, we'll expand it if it seems to be working out...

This link is not live yet to anyone else, but wanted to throw it up here for you guys first since I think some of the best candidates will come from here...

http://www.wnba.com/voices/fanblog_application.html

What we're looking for:
-Good writers, witty, entertaining
-Knowledgeable
-Geographically diverse
-1-2x a week posts
-No compensation, but we won't limit what you say (except for extenuating circumstances)
-over 13

Holler with questions.

Good, I can write in Portuguese and Spanish, too!
By geographically diverse, you meant inside the US or all over the world?

You're such a tease, P Wink

I have a designated proofreader, which is more than you can say about NL. Shocked
I've been digging updating my World Champs blog, but I think we have more qualified bloggers here.

If you're picking only NY Liberty fans to blog, this is gonna be fun, fun, fun, as long as there's no censorship. Where's FBC these days...

How about we skip the nominating process here since there is an application to fill out anyway.,

It got kinda silly with SFO's attendance at the draft thread. So if you're interested, fill out the form, and I'm sure the league will choose who they want.

Not at all...people picked me there, people picked me here. I guess if you sleep around enough, you get everyone to vote for you!

But yes...fill out an application if interested.

Oh, please - pink is SO last year!

Or was it the year before that?

The first person I thought of was Queenie.

I'd love to contribute too.

Smoovie should be one. It could be wordless, just illustrations.

If Queenie does it will it have WNBA fanfic? That would be cool.

You think they're ready for my sense of humor?

I had sketched out a couple others. Like her coming to my house and literally, knocking on my second floor bedroom window, for me to come out to play. Margo & Me, on a teeter-totter. Margo & Me, having a tea party in my playhouse. I just never finished them.

Smoovie should illustrate all the blogs. That way we're guaranteed to see her work.

As for fanfic... uh, do I *look* like I want some combination of a lawsuit, a C+D, and an ass-kicking? (Or worse, corrections?) Nuh-uh.

harlem- as for working for the Liberty, I think I put the kibosh on that when I purposefully shoulder-blocked Blaze on my way back up from collecting ink at the railing. Tell 'em to call me after she's been run out of town on a rail.

Laughing You sound like Timber. I figured if either of you were working there, they'd finally realize there's no need for Blaze. I don't think you'd even have to be in basketball operations for them to realize how incompetent she simply sounds next to you two and some other people on this board. Shit, other people in general.

If you do it on wnba.com, it would imply that you have the permission of the league (and maybe the players too). That would save you from the first two problems, I guess.

Thanks for the nominations. Laughing

Sure, I'll do it if picked. But only if I can be just as crazy and evil as I am now.

Not too long ago I made a suggestion to the Liberty to have someone...either from the front office, the team, the fanbase, the janitorial staff...anyone...do a blog on the team.

I think they mistook that for me wanting a job from them which, no offense...but I don't.

I might even update my own blog. Shocked

I think Timber and Q are awesome choices. Pilight always a wealth of info. We have a great pool to choose from.

And Smoovie.... You are the Shit. I wanted to put your Margo and Me pick on my wall at work.

The Dubya isn't the Dubya without the Baby Ballers.

Can't wait for the Blogs
