The Nashville Rhythm will skip the American Basketball Association playoffs.

"The ownership decided to not compete in the playoffs," Rhythm general manager Daniel Bucher told The Tennessean. "As for the reason, I am unaware. I don't own the team and have no say in these matters."

The Ryhthm, who drew national attention when co-owner Sally Anthony walked onto the court in January and yelled at coach Ashley McElhiney, finished 21-10 with the eighth seed in the ABA playoffs.

Anthony fired McElhiney after the game, but the coach was subsequently reinstated.

"What people don't quite understand is when you're living the nightmare that occurred a month ago relating to the owner and Ashley, there is not a lot of joy going through something like that," ABA Chairman Joe Newman told The Tennessean. "From a human standpoint, ending the season is probably the nicest thing that could have happened for them."

I love that line! Laughing

Skipping playoffs? This league sounds like the epitome of 'bush league'.
