Apparently Sac made all sorts of promises... but she went with familiarity (coaches and apparently she's good friends with Penny).

Did I mention this just made my August trip A LOT more likely? Wink

According to Coachpete on Ozhoops, in her deal, Snelly is guaranteed a roster spot (no cut clause)!

Interesting. I've also heard that Bibby has also signed a guaranteed contract with Seattle (?).

They just announced the signing of Kamila and the local sports pages are focusing on the Suns and Diamondbacks (spring training, Randy Johnson to the Yankees, Suns playing great, etc.).

It may be that the Aussie press was able to talk to Snelly prior to the Mercury being able to get the local press to print a release.

The Aussie press did have information re Belinda, as the press release regarding the Opals was being prepared.

Fair enough, I'm sure they have their reasons <- Is the grammar/spelling/whatever okay there? Wink Razz Have the Mercury even done a release fullstop as yet? As far as I can tell, they haven't put it up on the transactions page just yet ... but, yeah, at the end of the day ... no real biggie I guess!

I think it's just the way WNBA teams work, Rachel. This Wilson and Grima thing was done several weeks ago but it was only officially announced today.
