Seattle just signed Janell...and she gets a significant raise.

*@!%

Good for her Smile .

So, is the probability of Kamila ending up on the Mercury very strong? Or is Seth still trying to work out a trade?

...so, can they afford both Burse and KV?...and replace Sam and Tully? Seems like a tall order.

As mentioned elsewhere, Seattle might go for the cheaper option of Wendy Palmer-Daniel.

They still need an extra perimeter player though - I wonder if Seattle was the mystery third team in negotiations for Snell. Iziane would be a nice pickup but her lack of D is a real problem.

Janell earned that. I'm glad she's getting paid.

...Me thinks PHX has a center!

I am reluctantly beginning to believe that Kamila is moving to Arizona. If the Mercs get Kamila and Snell then they are going to be the team to beat.

I'd say Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Minnesota. That is, if all three teams can stay healthy. The Western Conference is going to be really tough this year.

Seattle still has Betty, Sue, and Lauren...can't count them out. Like I said, tough conference. San Antonio could always come together, and play like a team...or maybe not.

That's funny. I almost mentioned SASS but then I thought, "Why get my hopes up again?"
As for Seattle, I'm trying to forget about them...

I do LOVE Betty though!

Like sudden coaching changes. Oh, wait, they have to name a coach before they can make a change...

Okay. I thought player vs player drama.

Isn't she a free agent next year?

I really don't get how a player is cored. What if she doesn't want to be core?

L.A. is going to have a hard time paying everyone.
Im my opinion, the only two Penny would not trade are Lisa and Mwadi.
Anything could happen with the Sparks this season. I hope for your sake, Icey, they can avoid injuries.
When that team is in sync it's really amazing.

The player has no say in whether they receive core designation.

If they really wanted out and the team refuses to let them go, they can refuse to sign the offer, sit out the year and their core designation will lapse after the year is up.

i doubt a team would core a player who is making it obvious she doesn't want to be there. why waste that cap space when they could trade her?

Teams core players who would otherwise have been free agency. If that player didn't want to stay with the team there is even more reason to core them as that ensures you get some value from the player through a trade.

Without the core designation no team would trade for the player because as a free agent she can be signed without paying her old club anything.

Thanks Cam Smile . It's an improvement...a post duo of Gwen and Kamila should do alright. I'm a tad skeptical about Plenette though.
