Wyoming 57
BYU 56

That is two wins over ranked teams in the last two games. Cowgirls currently 48 in RPI and will go up after this win. They are now 17-6.

Could the Mountain West get four bids?

Great win for the Cowgirls.

Zavecz continues to impress with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks and she made the game winning free throw.

Keegs, can you repost your earlier statement about all the Aussies in Wyoming?

Anyone here see the game?

The MWC could in theory get FIVE bids, at least if TCU does OK in their tournament. (Sound of Big Ten fans sighing.)

I was very impressed with the Cowgirls wen I got to see them back in November. Then I took a glance at how they were doing back in early January and was surprised they seemd to be struggling. Nice to see them back on track.

I have to give Wyoming a bit of a plug because they have three Aussies on their roster, all of whom spent some time at the AIS and Zavecz was a starter there (same class as Oregon's Gabrielle Richards and Eva Afeaki). Zavecz has the honour of leading the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.

The other two Aussies are Gemma Koehler and Rebecca Vanderjagt, neither of whom are particularly noteworthy (both are posts) but Zavecz is a pretty good player. She's long and athletic and has a good all-court game.
