79-78

They missed 4 straight free throws at the end of the game. White(2) and Leblanc(2).

Sarah Lowe got the last 2 free throws. Big win for Peck.

Before I made this statement, I did not know that LSU lost their point guard earlier in the game. I wish LSU luck for the balance of the uear (except when they play the Gators!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was watching the game on Gatorvision. It was shocking how inept the rest of LSU was (other than Fowles and Augustus).

it's ok, you're new here, so you probably didn't realize the 'etiquette.'

besides, watching espn2, i would have just found out (this minute) anyway...*sigh*

i'm NOT happy about it. how many points did Augustus have - like 300 or something Wink ? who missed those last FTs?

The difference between "great LSU" and "pretty good LSU" all year has been whether people not named Augustus or Fowles show up. At Connecticut they didn't, and against Baylor they (White, for example) certainly did.

With LSU losing, the ACC could have the top three teams in next week's polls.

It appears that two of the Tigers suffered injuries in this game.

Sylvia Fowles sustained a knee injury, but was able to return. However, her mobility was greatly reduced.

Scholanda Hoston sustained an ankle injury and did not return to the game.

Wow...that sounds like the Maryland/UNC game (Larkins and Miller unavailable for OT). Kinda takes the luster away from the win a bit.
