Does anyone know if Broback is playing? I notice that MN is down 8 in the first half. It would be nice (for Purdue fans especially!!!) if MN could knock off OSU.

Broback started, according to Purdue announcers.

Broback did pretty good tonight she had 17 points and 3 rebounds but unfortunately Jamie and Williams effort wasn’t enough from stoping are losing skid tonight. Jamie was able to frustrate Merrill a little bit to cause her to get T but it seems like Merrill got the best of her towards the end. I am a little disappointed that weren’t able to stop Packer and her 3's it's seem like they were just pouring down tonight. wow can that kid shoot the 3's. I am happy that we didn’t decided to pack it up and call it quit when we still had time to get down to a decent amount points. |

Merrill 10 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists. Are you watching Seth and co? |

Keegan wants the PHX Mercury to give Merrill a look in the WNBA draft. Seth is their GM. I'm still hoping they offer the Lynx the 2 pick for Harrower.

I like that idea, curious.
Merrill had a very good game (as did most of the Buckeyes). She's a tough player and does a lot of the little things in the game that do not show up in the stats.

6-1 post players with average speed aren't going to help us.

If I were the Lynx, I'd give up Harrower for the #2 pick (i.e. Cappie) without hesitation.
Debbie Merrill is a nice addition to Foster's system, but I agree with Cam: she's not a pro player.
Aya Traore, on the other hand...

Like that's a hard decision to make
I've seen Merrill play this year and I like what I've seen. She's not going to be a star or anything but she could be a useful player and Foster's system doesn't do her much favours (ala focusing on one interior "star"). |

6-1, she's as tall as DT. Well maybe she would be 6-3 with Dee's tape measure.

Merrill was an All American at Cincy. She is second or third fiddle to Davenport at OSU but has the ability to play in the WNBA. She is aggressive, will crash the boards, is a great passer and has awesome low post moves. She takes a charge better than any forward in the game. Her weakness is her jump shot but that is getting better as the season progresses. In a draft that is low on post players.... she could slide to the first round. Don't underestimate her ability.

Honorable Mention, not on the three A-A teams. Lots of people are Honorable Mention AAs and aren't WNBA players.

Merrill is a nice post player. And I'd have to agree in saying Phoenix should take her with the 2nd round pick.
