Who is number one at this point. Dukes only loss comes to UNC, however UNC's loss is to #6 Maryland???? Do the Tar Heels keep that top spot. It has to be one of these two. LSU and UCONN aren't #1's

Loss or not, North Carolina still has the best body of work for the season.

All I've gotta say is, this has been one weird night.

UT loses at home. UNC loses at home. Minny is getting absolutely obliterated. Purdue struggles with a team that's won two games all season.

Is there a full moon or something tonight? Man oh man.......the NCAA tourney this year should be incredible.

Can you say upset night? I would give number 1 to LSU at this point. Or maybe back to Duke.

mmmmm Yeah I would go with Duke 1 and LSU 2, UNC 3, Tenn 4, UConn 5, Rutgers 6.

I think the Lady Vol's preformance tonight justifies higher than 7th. They beat UConn and both have two losses, so they should be ahead in the ranking. LSU v UNC is a hard one, but I'd put LSU #1.

LSU has a stronger resume than Duke.

LSU has wins over seven currently ranked teams, including road wins over two top 10 teams (Tennessee and Ohio State). Their only loss was a one possession game on the road.

Duke has wins over four currently ranked teams, one of which is a roadie over a top 10 (Maryland). Their one loss was a four pointer at home.

UNC should really stay ahead of Duke as well. They have four wins over currently ranked teams, none of them in Chapel Hill, and beat Duke head to head. They also have two road wins against the top 10 (Duke and UConn).

I know i said earlier LSU isnt a #1 but their wins are bigger and their one loss was a close one to UConn. I take that back and put them at the top

Agree. LSU has a great shot at #1. It certainly will be a split vote with LSU and Duke.

1. Duke
2. UNC
3. LSU
4. Maryland
5. Uconn
6. Tenn
7. Rutgers

The AP poll currently is UNC, Duke, LSU, UConn, Tenn, MD, ...8. Rutgers. Uconn and Tenn and UNC drop a spot, Maryland gains two, and Rutgers gains one..LSU doesn't jump a spot because, according to the poll LSU should have beaten Tenn, and losing to Maryland isn't enough to drop UNC two places.

Well, yeah, the pollsters love Duke beyond all reason.

If the question is who should be #1, it's not that simple.

Ruffling the feathers of Terp fans over there. Smile It's only for tonight, though (until the "woodworks posters" disappear).

Maybe because Duke didn't lose to the #6-ranked or #5-ranked team in the nation.

Not sure how Duke can drop if the Blue Devils only lost to the #3/#2-ranked team.

Duke #1/#1!

There is something wrong wtih maryland terrapins.

Last sunday, tiffany sardin was manhandled by laurie harper. it looks like laurie harper did the same to larkins at UNC, probably injured her int he process.

is this some kind of standard at UMD -- to injure others by being physical?

No, but they lost at home. Nobody has come within 15 of LSU at the PMAC.
