Okay folks let's get it started. What's everyone's thoughts.

Brittany Hunter is out for tonight's game if it makes a difference in anyone's thinking.

I'm thinking this is the game that Cappie finally puts up big numbers on UConn, but the rest of the team watches too much. Houston goes wild as well, and UConn pulls out a tough, physical, game.

CSTV and of course locally CPTV (all games are on public television here).

I'm liking that UConn is being VERY cautious with Hunter's knee. I'd rather have her sit some games now than in March.

Wow, Campbell is having a great game, both on offense and defense. Her stock will certainly go up. Good game so far.

This thread is as dead as the UConn crowd. Man I felt bad for that old guy with the "cat in the hat" hat on. Even the kid near him just looked like "what, I don't feel like cheering." Laughing

I'm sitting here wondering about these announcers, talking about what great officiating, after they had to huddle to determine and check to see if Rutgers hit the layup, this after the first free throw. Then they rave about what great officials they are. Geez ...

They are at it again checking to see if Cappie's basket at the shotclock was a 2 or a 3 Rolling Eyes
Can they revise every single play like that?

I guess, this game may never end, if they review every thing.

I'm suddenly very glad I have the Rutgers radio feed instead of the announcers for ESPN.

We're in deep shit without Kia.

Great win for RU. Their first ever at CT against UConn. They did their usual lead-squandering thing, but Cappie got them back on track. In what wasn't her best game, she still scored 18 pts and led them thru rough times. Plus, the calm to hit 2 crucial FT's. No doubt, the best in the nation.

Well..against Ranked teams..with Thomas and Houston leading the team..Uconn hasn't lost..

Against ranked teams, with Strother and Turner leading the way, Uconn hasn't won...

I love the seniors, but they have yet to carry the team through a win....I understand that Charde Houston wasn't shooting well (neither was Strother, or Thomas) but she's the most talanted player on the team...

On the plus side, Kalana played well.

I'm not sure where all you UConn groupies are, but I guess nothing shuts up a Huskie like a loss!

Sorry - just had to gloat for a second. It was a great game and could have gone either way, but I'm sure glad it went the way it did!

Way to go Rutgers .... You scared me there for awhile, but Cappie did come thru in the clutch ....

Does anyone know if there were any WNBA scouts there?

I don't think I've ever listened to a UConn CPTV game - are those the UConn home announcers? We were sitting here thinking it had to be the Connecticut public tv station that CSTV was picking up. Those annoucers were bad or at least half bad (in that they ignored one team). Or maybe GA has it written into his (ok, this is an unfair dig...) contract that any announcers hired to by UConn have to gush over him and his team. That was yucky and unprofessional.

But, it was a fun game to watch with the added satisfaction of the announcers having to eat their words.
