Chris Webber Traded to the Sixers.

Webber, along with Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley will go to the Sixers in exchange for Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson, and Brian Skinner.

And you thought they got nothing in the Vince Carter trade... Confused

What is surprising, however, is what the Kings will get from the 76ers in return. None of the three players the Kings receive are as talented as Webber. Each has been struggling this year and all three have long-term contracts equal to the three years, $62 million left on Webber's deal. In other words, this isn't a salary dump by the Kings.

Thomas has five years and $39 million left on his deal, plus a 15 percent trade kicker that will raise his salary higher. Williams has two years and $12.5 million left on his deal. Skinner has one year and $4.9 million left on his contract plus another year at $5.4 million that is 75 percent guaranteed.

I am hereby boycotting the Palms Casino in Las Vegas Evil or Very Mad

It isn't even to get salary cap relief. Everybody has greater than 2 years left on their deals! I would have rather traded him for Antoine Walker if anything... This is just stupid. And you thought Jim Dolan was a bad owner.. Well at least he doesn't trade All-Stars away because he can't afford their salaries... One thing's for sure: couple billion isn't enough. You need to be a Paul Allen or Jim Dolan to be a good owner. Confused

Webber was owed 80 million dollars over the next 4 years. The players for whom the Maloofs traded do not approach those numbers.

Assumming that the Kings do not pick up Skinner's $5.8mil option in 2008, this only saves Sacramento $5mil. Idea

Their salary cap relief comes in 2008. As I said, I would have rather traded for Antoine Walker, or even Glenn Robinson. Shocked Their contracts end this year.

Wow...you're right. The trade sucks worse than I thought.

Are they concerned about Peja walking when his contract is up?

If Utah had actually expressed an interest in trading Boozer, I would have loved for him to go to Sacramento.
