I've said before that the article in the Indiana, PA paper was the most moving piece I've read on the pain that RP's discrimination causes. I hope it'll continue to be posted there and wherever possible with the expressed wish that people read it and put themselves in Cindy Davies' shoes. It'd be wonderful if RP herself would read it and repent of her inhumanity.

Thanks duke for the support, not sure how many people know but I am currently in MN for the game today, we tried to keep it a secret until gme day and of course now it is front page of sports section in the local paper. I will keep you informed on how things go.

Gophers coach Pam Borton, her team aimed toward the Big Ten title, said she hopes fans do not protest.

"To use our event to voice people's opinions, to stand on their soapboxes, I hope it's not a distraction to our kids," said Borton, who said she has no opinion on the controversy.

This is a disappointment. I would hope that Pam Borton and other coaches would respect other people's right to voice their opinion, no matter the venue. The use of the word "soapboxes" is especially troubling to me.

She could have said it in a nicer way, voicing her concern while still standing up for human rights. Homophobia does indeed run deep in the NCAA.
