Thank GOD! Borton may have saved this game. She finally benched Broback and played the super sophs. Lacy gets all kinds of criticism for being too slow, or not a good defender but she's a prolific scorer. Williams just needs some confidence. She's the best post Minnesota has.

Gophers scored 29 points off the bench... leading 33 - 25 at the half.

I like Broback to death but she is killing us when she in and your right Pam made a smart move by taking Bro out and putting Williams in. Maybe all in all we need to take broback out of the starting line up again.

Broback is turning the ball over, taking too many shots, but basically my problem with her is she is not shooting fundamentally well. She just tosses it up with one hand. Sit her down...

For that matter all the seniors are turn it over. We are going to graduate our TO problem. Very Happy

I think we found our championship guard combo, Fox and Calhoun.

Gophers win 71 - 58.

55 points off the bench! If Borton had pulled Broback in the 2nd half against Purdue, no doubt in my mind the Gophers would have won that game.

I agree, and what a terrific game Emily fox played today with 13 points and 6 rebounds.

I can't believe our bench almost outscored the whole Michigan State team. Great defensive intensity by our Gophers! Our future looks bright with Lacey, Williams, Roysland, and Fox. Good win for us!

I didn't think Michigan State would win this game. I think their team is clearly overrated, especially how they played against Wisconsin on Thursday. Even though they won that game, they played behind the Badgers for 38 minutes. Speaking of which, the Badgers lost today to Illinois, 84-54. Have the Gophers played Illinois yet?

FOX: 5/11 2/2 shooting, 6 boards, 3 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO, 13 points. Not bad for a frosh against three pretty good MSU guards in 22 minutes.
