Nebraska up 13-5 at 4:43 of the first.

Iowa starting 2-11. Clark rimming out 5 shots, 4 of them three attempts.

I hate those blowup mascots. Purdue's is the worst, but Nebraska's is running a close 2nd.

NE airballs a three, falls right into the hands of a teammate who makes the bunny.

Clark finally made a layup. NE still up 21-14.

Clark 0-6 from 3.

Clark is certainly great; but I notice also when she gets stopped, she's great at bailing/flopping like she was fouled, and getting the call.
Watch for more of that in the 4th Q. Come on Huskers! Stay in this game!!!

I know this game is exciting, but the announcers are… said Nebraska was up by one when they were up 4, called an Iowa turnover Nebraska’s and called Iowa “Buckeyes”.

Clark is incredibly talented and also incredibly whiny. It's rubbed off on her teammates, too.

Some really stupid plays by Nebraska going to cost them: leaving Martin wide open on the right wing, throwing that cross court pass, fouling after Clark made the steal.

The bigger problem of the second half was not using Potts' advantage more. Should have brought Markowski to the high post to pass to Potts down low. She was feasting on her defender throughout the first half.

Great stuff, all around. Nebraska certainly had an awesome, gritty run to make it to the Final. Iowa is....Iowa. Cool

If yer not an Iowa/Clark fan, you're gonna *see* whiney/floppies, and NOT see all the physicality she tolerates. She's not Big/Bulky - she's pure steel, though, and she absorbs a lot of what other players throw at her. Caitlin makes it look easy to play through all that physical defense by others, but yeah....she's still human, AND gets frustrated. I get that.

Nebraska isn't losing all that much for next year....is Jaz coming back? Iowa certainly isn't gonna be the same next year, losing Clark, Marshall, Davis and Martin. But it was nice to see the underclassmen playing well today - their future isn't all that dismal, either.

Is Jaz a forever student? She has been playing college ball for a LONG time.

It seems like that, for so MANY players this season, but it's only her 5th season. I expect to see her on the OZ national team, sooner or later.

Only her fifth season? How many seasons are allowed for student athletes, ten?

Well, *only* her 5th, meaning it's in accordance with the NCAA's granting a fifth year because of Covid. That's an entire boatload of kids, this season. I don't know if this year's Juniors still get that benefit or not.

This years 4th year seniors are the last class to have that option of a fifth year

Basically a story of two halves. When Clark finally got going in the second half, and Iowa scored within the range of their offensive average I knew it was over. Nebraska a tough team though.

You could see the atmosphere in College Basketball which is what WNBA is lacking.

Yer right about that - NCAA is (to me) far more interesting for that reason. There are SO MANY more teams, each with their own devotees. I'd like to think, though, that the wnba is growing in that direction, too. The level of play is clearly another entirely different tier of talent, but the fanbase/appreciation has to catch up.

Talent is not the problem in the WNBA. It's the lack of storyline. No one seems to care outside of their loyal fanbases they already established.
