Is Mair the Ogunbowale of Duke? 16 pts on 20 shots 😄

Short answer NO - a million times NO. Duke has been trading off the leading scorer each game. It was Taina Mair's turn. Taina is the PG and finally has Duke running plays and two person actions. Almost every shot she took was wide open, most especially when she was token "guarded" by Taurasi. Oluchi Okananwa BURNED Taurasi on a drive into the paint. Yes, Taurasi is gonna hit a couple 3's but can Team USA afford all the points she gives up? When college players accentuate your statue defense, it's time to hang them up.

By the way, the actual Ogunbowale was playing - and not shooting the ball, or doing much of anything. It was pretty easy to spot the players who won't be on the Olympic team.

My first time seeing BG in person - I fangirl shouted BG BG BG until she waved and smiled. She only played two minutes and Team USA could have scored 100 by lobbing the ball into her. Only post player most of the game was Dearica Hamby, with wings filling in. Alisha Gray was her usual solid self and high scorer. College kids don't have a bat's chance in hell of stopping Kahleah Copper, who drove at will, then popped a few smooth 3's.

Duke got plenty of lessons on the floor and I'm sure plenty off the court this weekend with Team USA. I'd say the biggest lessons on the floor were "shoot the dang ball." Off the floor, it likely was "have fun and take care of your body." It was completely, absolutely awesome that this team got to spend time with and play against Team USA. It's nice to have a coach who attracts the best and brings out the best. There were two players from the Kara coached USA gold medal winning 3x3 team: Alisha Gray and Jackie Young. And Kara's former WNBA coach Mike Thibault is on the coaching staff of Team USA. Take advantage of all those connection, Coach Kara!

Raleigh must be close by because Griner and Taurasi attended the UConn game.

25 minutes away from Duke. North Carolina is 10 minutes from Duke.

Hope BG is ok after some sort of injury 2 minutes into the game. Hope DT is ok after how many times the Duke players burned her today.

Watching the tape-delayed broadcast, and good God the commentators fapping over Taurasi is TOO MUCH.

Yep. I told the real story of 41 yr old Taurasi on the floor getting BURNED.
