I’m sorry but Kiah Stokes has made two three pointers in the WNBA Finals and frankly I’m not okay.

Hiding Ionescu on Stokes isn't the answer today

If Sloot is still going to be awful, Sandy has got to play Johannes.

Amazing it’s as close as it is.

Seriously, explain to me how New York ever beat the Aces?

Also, NY has the second best backcourt in the league…but there is a huge gap between them in the Aces.

Brutal.

I would say that the second-best backcourt claim needs to be immediately corrected to second-best backcourt at the offensive end, but I'm questioning if that's even the case now.

The real MVP and COY are showing out. Will the NYL buck history and pull out a championship from 0-2?

I have my share of frustrations about this game, not the least of which is that this is a terribly anticlimatic finals after all the hype all year.

But I think my #1 annoyance is the absolute beating JJ was taking without getting calls. There were so many possessions tonight where she was getting absolutely manhandled, shoved to the floor, arms grabbed, elbows, nearly full-on punches.

Admittedly I've never been a fan of "it's the playoffs, it's more physical" generally, but tonight was on just another ridiculous level. Really frustrating to watch.

It’s odd how Stewie has been unable to score through contact, something the core four of Vegas do quite well.

Will the Liberty avoid a sweep? They look SO disjointed. Will the real Slooty ever show up? JJ has been the best Liberty player and it's not even close.

On the other hand, the Aces are clearly on a mission - all saved their best for now.

This is not the same liberty team I saw playing against aces in August whoppin they ass. They look uninterested and gassed. The effort is not there and it's hard to believe this. Very embarrassing to see I turned my TV off the 1st quarter

And I've been a fan since day1 and to finally see them in the finals in a long time brings back so many memories from the T-spoon days

I've never been a big Sandy fan like others it's puzzling why Marine Johannes hasn't been getting any minutes. you see Sabrina or Sloot struggling GIVE MARINE THE MINUTES

I have 2 Questions.
How many # 1 picks start for the Aces?
What Aces players have played Overseas recently? I feel like maybe not too many, as a result they are well rested and not so injury prone.

Hopefully the Liberty can play better at home and win a game or 2 at Barclays. The Fans will be wild!!

Well, it looks like we're going to get history, one way or the other.

How first-quarter clinic put the Aces up 2-0 in WNBA Finals

The player who got the most first place votes and isn't surrounded by #1 overall picks. Seriously, *someone* on that Sun roster has got to be having heist movie fantasies about that 2023 MVP trophy.

Now that my literal rage headache has subsided to the dull roar of barely getting any sleep last night for reasons that aren’t just this fucking team, I can be somewhat more coherent and even a tiny bit rational.

What’s pissing me off is not the things we knew would be a problem. Sabrina Ionescu doing her best impersonation of the front window of a Chinatown restaurant is not unexpected. It’s disappointing, but we knew her defense was highly suspect coming in. Same with Courtney Vandersloot on the defensive end. No, it's the fact that Courtney’s reaction time on offense, where she is supposedly a maestra and a superb floor general, can be unfavorably compared with a sloth on downers. It's the fact that our quote-unquote MVP- and y’all know who I thought should have gotten that trophy in the first damn place- can’t hit water falling out of a boat until the game is already out of reach. It's Betnijah Laney missing open shots and getting blown by and faked out on defense. It's this team not only being not good at the things they are not good at, but being not good at the things they’re good at.

I would like to believe in miracles. But I do not think it is good for my health for me to let Lucy hold that football again. I’ll still be at Game 3. But I’m not holding out hope for Game 4, and frankly, if that fucking team is going to celebrate a title on our home court, I’d rather not pay for an extra game for them to do it.

Maybe we’ll get lucky, someone will actually listen to Dearica Hamby for once, and in the end officially nobody gets to be 2023 WNBA champions.

I haven't watched much of either team this season, but what stands out to me in the two games so far is that the Aces are much better at both team offense and team defense.

On offense, the Aces set on-ball and off-ball screens better for shooters and drivers, really move and pop the ball around, in and out, and get a lot of assists. The Lib are not as sophisticated at these things and rely on more one-one-one play.

On defense, it's no comparison in the last two games. NY has none. The Aces almost score at will.

I will usually credit coaching with efficient team offense and defense.

No team has ever come back from down 0-2 in any WNBA playoff series
