why does Brittney Sykes want me to suffer

(yes the halfcourt buzzer beater against St. John's still burns)

As long as Breanna Stewart remembers how to play basketball the way she did in the last minute instead of the first 39, we should be okay for the playoffs.

It was so nice to see all the alumni who returned! Not just the big names, but the bench players like Chelle and Mac. And of course HOLY FUCKING SHIT TARI. It has been almost 20 years, but Tari Phillips got welcomed back.

So! Post-game event for STH. 14/10 on concept: team autograph session (everyone except Han because China summoned her again), photographs with the Commissioner's Cup trophy, free food, free drinks, meet-and-greet with the Liberty legends, stuff for the kids to do, carnival games, the whole nine yards, Barclays Center was our oyster for three hours. 2/10 on execution: they "encouraged" us to do the autograph session first, and those of us who followed directions spent the better part of two hours standing in various lines while other people got to enjoy the activities and then cut the line. By the time we emerged from the autograph session, most of the alumni had left, the food vendors were down to the bottom of the barrel, drinks had been cut off, and there was no time for photo ops. Security epic failed in crowd organization (we went from one long line to several small lines that then fed *back* into a double line that eventually collapsed into a single line, and it wasn't until we actually entered the practice court where the players were that anyone attempted to wrangle the lines, and they did it badly).

(did appreciate Crystal Robinson working the lounge as one of the few alums who stayed until the end, and her determination to make sure everyone got an autograph if they wanted it)

Ruby is very cute and Nyara is effortlessly charming.

That elbow on Li should have been upgraded.

Have to agree with your ratings. Someone needs to go over the plans and protocol with the ushers wayyy before the event begins. Some of them didn’t even know what the lines were for. Once we got herded and forced to squeeze into that Qatar Club and wait even longer, I said F this and headed out. Didn’t want a repeat of last year’s signing session. Typical Liberty STH event with such poor execution.
They should’ve just kept the original one line up in the concourse and have the signing session in the concourse as well.

Or have the autograph session on the actual court (which would have allowed them to keep the single line, since we used the club entrance on court level) and keep the activities on the concourse.

^^^ Yup. It’s not that complicated. We should’ve organized it ourselves.
