What about Reese's game is better than UCONN's Aaliyah Edwards? Certainly her star and her mouth are much bigger than Edwards, but Reese has zero game outside of 4 feet and she rebounds a lot of her own missed shots to get all those stats. I think she could become a very good player, but right now her skill set is nowhere near as good as Edwards. I think what Edwards did at UCONN last year was nothing short of spectacular, given our injuries. I would also take Cardoso over Reese. And Reese over Brink is a criminal act!!! I think Brink is so good that if Indiana doesn't get the 1st pick, I'd draft her and trade NaLyssa Smith.

Cardoso has size, great hands, and she runs the floor so well for a player that's 6'7". I think she will see her production explode now that she doesn't have to share the paint with Boston.

Also, I love Paige and we've been robbed of her, but she's a risk right now, IMO. Does she have MVP and game changing talent and moxie, yes. But she is so injury prone.

Non-math person here. I don't understand the two 0.00% and the 43.95%.

Can someone explain it to me? Thanks.

They draw numbers twice. After that, it goes by worst record. That’s why IND can do no worse than #3.

You’re the Fever fan, right? Have you decided who you would like them to choose, if they should be lucky enough to get #1? I assume you don’t want Clark, because this is reminder about how you feel about Clark. 😄

That stuck with me because I’m not sure anyone else in the world would say that about Clark. Might as well say Steph Curry is boring to watch too. Surprised

If you like flamboyant players, Reese probably wins that category. But Indiana is probably all set in the front court, unless you want to convert NSmith into a SF.

Hard, HARD no on Reese. Although the Fever do seem to like former Mulkey players. Not sure about Bueckers and staying healthy. Seems to be injured a lot. As you said, they probably don't need Brink. I guess that leaves Clark.

I know you like Notre Dame. Is part of the reason you're not that fond of Clark is because she was supposedly a silent Irish commit before flipping late to Iowa?

Ya know, I don't think so. I think that I've always been of the belief that if the player doesn't want to play "there," it's best if they don't. I've often said that the best thing Michelle Marciniak ever did for ND was leave.

There's ways of leaving that I may not agree with, but by all means, let me drive you to the airport if you don't want to be here.

I don't think that's true. I'm just more selective than some fans are. Wink

And just because I might not like a player, that doesn't mean that I dislike the player.

Reese already announced she's not coming out for two years.
Although her size, athleticism and intensity are great attributes, her game is in need of improvement and refinement, she needs more work. However, she will get there. We'll see her improvements made this year.

Need to see how Paige does this year. Everything pretty much depends on her health and durability and whether she decides to stay another year at UConn.

Drafting Brink by Indiana would not require or necessitate a trade of Smith.

At this point in time, before the 23/24 seasons starts, Indiana would definitely take Clark at #1 should they win the pick.

Right? I thought she said she wasn't sure as the money was so good in college. But, for a player who already attends school virtually because she "star" is too bright, do you really think she would want to stay as a college student for another year?

The draft order for non-playoff teams should go in reverse order of which team had the #1 pick most recently. For this year that would be...

1 Los Angeles last had the #1 pick in 2012
2 Phoenix last had the #1 pick in 2013
3 Seattle last had the #1 pick in 2016
4 Indiana had the #1 pick last year

I used the wrong word, she didn't announce, she said it after getting the two high profile transfer players. She'll make an official announcement in April. Could she change her mind? Of course. So she's fair game for your Mock Draft.

There's little to no money in WNBA basketball. Reese is pulling in about a million $ per year, in school. Bigger market for clothing, shoes, advertisements and other products.

The schools make money too and the donors contribute to the schools to get and keep the great players. Politics, big business, media, local businesses etc. make hay from the player's notoriety in college not the pros.

There's no money in the pros because 90% of the people don't even recognize the game, the vast majority of the players and are tired of the activist and political games.

Even Mulkey is getting an extended years contract for more $.

Reese, Bueckers, Clark, etc. etc. are selling all over the US and abroad.

LSU has a gravy train now and will have it for years.
