all i found (so far) was this, goliberty. click on "gametracker" link, and it'll give you a dynamic scoreboard like the one on the dotcom.

Well, this one isn't living up to expectations, 48-31 Duke at the half.

I wonder how "overrated" Duke is now. Rolling Eyes They are taking the "#6" team in the country to school on Maryland's home court! Very Happy

I don't think most people considered Duke overrated, so much as unproven. This is a nice way of proving.

Yeah, I still have Tennessee above Duke in my top 25 (my computer has had Duke for awhile... but a bunch), but I wasn't convinced... They keep this up and I may have to dump my static notion that Tennessee is #1 until they lose.

The game ain't over yet, but is Maryland stopping Duke at all?

Most of those who consider Duke to be "overrated" are the Tar Heel fans on the ESPN board (due mostly in part to the Texas game). I don't see too many of them out today.

With a Duke win, would UConn and Maryland still move ahead of Baylor in the polls?

Looks like the year off has served Lindsay Harding well, if she continues to play like this she should be an All-American and Chante Black was just outstanding today. Mo Currie had a bad first half but then stepped up at crunch time like I expected. Another surprise player was Laura Kurz Shocked I didn't remember her being that good. She is like Duke's Sidney Spencer Laughing In the battle of the frosh neither Waner nor Coleman had their best game today but Toliver seems to be on the mend (4-5 from 3pt range and I'm talking about deep 3 including a nice step back move).

How is that possible? UConn and Maryland both have 2 losses to Baylor's one.

Well, Uconn and Maryland were beat by 2 unbeatens while Baylor lost to Missouri. Thats the only reason I could think of...

"Another surprise player was Laura Kurz "

Well, since I love Laura's game, I can speak to this. Last year, Laura had several games where she showed she's got a sweet 3 pt shot, but could not play the necessary defense to help out in the post season. With the return of Harding and the arrival of the frosh, there was lots of speculation as to where Laura would get minutes this year, or if she would get many at all.

In the pre-season, we learned she was being switched to the post. At first glance, this didn't look any more promising at all, with having 3 strong, proven post players plus heralded Carrem Gay coming in. Laura's response to all this talk was "I'm gonna fight like heck for playing time". You've got to love the attitude and she's brought the game to do it now.

Comparing her to Sidney Spencer is timely, considering Sid's performance yesterday vs UConn. The fact that Laura grew at least an inch over the summer doesn't hurt at all. Laura is now taller than Duke's strongest post player: Mistie Williams. Add to that Laura has a knack for being in the right place to rebound (plus she boxes out well) and that she's learned a LOT about Div.1 defense, and you've got a very nice surprise for Duke. We have been able to weather the "storm" of having the smooth Carrem Gay out to injury and coming back at less than 100% due to Laura stepping up her play. Laura is completely capable of having a game a lot like Sid's yesterday.

I love to see Laura recognized for all the hard work she's put in to succeed at this level. It shows what can happen when you've got coaches who recognize a player's strengths, communicate to the player how they can best help the team, and the player responds by maximizing her time on the floor (and then she's rewarded with more minutes).

I was at the game, and as a Terps fan, I was of course quite disappointed.

The Terps committed way too many turnovers (many unforced), and missed a number of shots they should have made. They looked like the young team that they are. No excuses, though. Duke was terrific, their defense was smothering, they looked mature, confident, and totally in sync with each other. I think they are better than Tennessee. Time will tell!

At this point, having seen what I have, I would rate:

1. Duke
2. LSU
3. Tennessee

I've seen a few LV games now (UConn, ND, etc) and they seem to be the most beatable of those three right now. Can't say it'll be that way at end of year, but right now.

I've only seen LSU on tv, but I have seen Duke and Tenn live and IMO Duke is, no question, better than UT. I would rank them as the undisputed #1.
