I cannot reveal the full details, but there is a reason SASS was able to signed Edna Campbell. Sacto is expecting a perimeter player via a trade.

The above-referenced trade involves the Monarchs and an Eastern Conference team.

Oh man, don't tell me SAC is actually going to trade one of their core players! Shocked This looks like it's going to be a bad day...

Not a three-way trade, yet. The only three-ways involve Brigade members. Shocked

And here I thought chronic ineffectiveness would've been sufficient reason for Sacramento to let her depart. But perhaps that's giving Whisenant too much credit...

A perimeter player from the Eastern Conference, eh??? Well, that could really be anyone, couldn't it???

Brunson for Nicole Powell, maybe??? Get Powell back in Cali? Brunson for Mazzante would work, too, methinks. It could be another team, but Trudi has been so active lately and Charlotte is definitely going to need frontcourt help.

If it's released on a Friday before a holiday, I would assume it's something major, involving fan favorite players. That way they wouldn't have to answer in the media until a long cooling-off period. If it's released on Tuesday, I would think it's a trade for a lesser player.

Cam, check your email! Shocked

I would believe it has gone down and it has weakened Whisenant's position.

Ah, so we're talking about the same trade........ Shocked Exclamation Exclamation

Well, the Sacramento ticket rep did call me yesterday for Season Ticket Renewal, if that means anything... Moreover, it was a new ticket rep, saying that the old guy had 'moved on to other opportunities'... Shocked

Care to email me the extra insight I don't have? Wink

Ticket reps don't seem to stay very long.
I had four different reps in three years in Sac. I just got a new one again.
I had four in L.A. too.
I just got a new one in PHX
I still have the same rep in Indy.

Yeah, but that's cause they keep saying "I don't have to call that guy in the pink shirt that keeps changing teams do I?"

LOL, dts, yet on the other hand Slovy is a good client for many teams. Not to mention what appears to be a pretty good ambassador for the W.

Quote:
He has decided to keep coaching, at least for now. But his dilemma: whether to trade star post players Yolanda Griffith or Tangela Smith.

"We have to make some changes; we have to get younger," Whisenant said Thursday. "And those are the two players people want. As coach, the thought of giving up Yo scares the hell out of me. But as general manager, I've got to do what's best for the franchise."

"Yo is a foundation player, but she's not getting any younger," Whisenant said. "If we're going to get any value for her, now is the time. But I've got be to very careful in this attempt to get younger. It's a puzzle that will take a whole lot more work."

You can trade for a shooter but you still have to pay her you know... Confused At probably the same salary too.

I already gave Slovy his props today; I can't be totally nice all day can I? Especially with this news hanging over our heads (maybe since Cam hasn't disclosed the all important WHEN), and I have to leave for a doctor's appointment in 5 minutes!

Hope all goes well for you dts. Knees take a long time to recover. As for that trade--nothing will surprise me anymore. I believe that most coaches are looking ahead two years rather than one what with the Chicago team blowing into their line-ups.

I have to get up off my narrow white ass and work out. I'm starting to look and feel as old as I am.

In a week I'll celebrate my 40th birthday by giving my boss two weeks notice!

That should take about ten years off! lol!

*rolling my eyes*

I think I've grown past the guessing games are fun stage.

Yo for Semeka Christon. Maybe a switch of first rounders. Who knows, well, I don't.

Yeah, so maybe I am still in that stage.

*shrug*

Why do I remember reading about a proposed Yolanda-for-VJ+Shameka a while back? I know I wouldn't have hallucinated it, because I'm not on crack like that.

Is this what's going down?

But the more important question: if it does go down, will herrade be able to charm Becky into loaning her her guns? And if she does, how bloody will the carnage in the front office be?

Hmmm...considering the most recent other scoops came true (Timmsy, DeMya, Tully to Indiana and not SASS), I have to laugh at Theresa and Wade. Let them go back to the ESPN board and live in the land of VeProfessor.

The answer can be found by looking at the Queen (no, not me...Queenie). We shall see if it happens. If it does, it will be the biggest blockbuster since 2002 (Teasley/Figgs). But I believe Blaze will find a way not to do the deal.

The bummer is that Sac and PHX are going to be HOT this summer and I'll be in Indy. Don't get me wrong, I love the Fever but while in L.A. I could drive to Mercury and Monarch's games.
Come to think of it, I still have depo$its with both teams.

Bottom line - I can't afford to fly around to games anymore and it's time to get out of L.A.
