Geaux Tigers. (....but I'm planning on SC by 8 or more)

I assume the winner of this game will be #1 in the polls

I don't care about either school, but I need Dawn Staley to beat Kim Mulkey for The Culture™. #BHM

Reese and Johnson with 2 fouls in the 1Q isn't auspicious for LSU. |

I love how Cardoso catches/rebounds high, keeps the ball high, and then shoots it high. Almost impossible to stop. So many posts bring the ball down to their chests or waists after a catch or rebound, and hence get blocked or stripped. |

The 4 LSU starters not named Morris had 9 points in the 1st half.

LSU got exposed BADLY. That's what happens when you play real competition
And I'm starting to fall in love with brea beal's game. She's SOLID

Well, that was....enlightening.
'grats to SC. Miss Cardosa was beastly - even better than in her UConn outing. Tough to see SC losing any more games this season. I still think Stanford has the best chance, with the best-qualified Bigs to match up there, but then there's the guard thing.....haha!
Now, I haven't seen all (nor many!) of SC's games, but .... does anybody zone them? I think I saw a 1-3-1 by Kim somewhere in there but still....paint points KILLED today.

SC gets zoned to death! Raven's been having her coming out party to go along with Cooke and Beale. You beat a zone by shooting over it or slashing and pulling defenders out to get the ball inside. SC is doing both.

LSU got what they deserved for Kim setting up a creampuff OOC schedule. Maybe she'll learn something from that. Creampuffs don't teach you anything.

SC has not been a good matchup for Reese going back to her MD days. Boston commands so much defensive attention, I can’t wait to see what she does as a pro. I can’t imagine her facing the constant double and triple teams that she encounters now. |
Reese and Boston represent such a contrast when playing the 5. Angel is slithery and has great hops, Boston is strong and bangs. They should both have bright futures, imo, albeit with different trajectories.
