Westbeld almost went from hero to goat. She made the key shot and then 2 free throws to give ND the 6 pt lead, but then missed 4 straight free throws that would have slammed the door, giving Clemson a chance right to the final buzzer.
She's usually one of the steadiest, most reliable member of the team.
Sort of sums up the night.

I only have one question: I couldn't get this game, but I saw the box score telling me that Miss Watson started the game, and then played a total of 10 min, scoring 8 pts. Miss Ebo comes in with 36 min, and racks up 2 pts. I've seen this pattern before in the few ND games I've seen so far. Is there an obvious logic to this? I figured Kylie has a better shot at winning the tip-off than Lauren to start the game, but....is she really that much less of a post player than Ebo? I can't see it, even when I'm watching the games.

I think Ebo plays significantly better post defense, rebounds much better, and is usually more of a threat at the rim. Watson scored the first two baskets tonight, but is more finesse and not as strong inside. She actually plays about as much forward, sometimes pared with Ebo, as she plays center.
I like Watson, but I think that's why Ebo plays more. She is more of a load for opponents to handle.
Ebo had 18 rebounds a couple games ago, and she clogs up the paint. Watson just doesn't do that.
A lot of ND fans would like to see Marshall play a lot more at the post position. But again, she's not as strong.

What I've read from ND fans is that they want Marshall is get minutes at the high post, where her post-to-post passing ability could improve accuracy in getting the ball to Ebo in the low post. Also, she is more confident shooting from the elbow and that could also open things up inside.
Of course if she was showing those skills in practice, I would think we would see her more in games.
