And then Maryland misses two open layups on the same possession

Indiana getting called for a fair amount of offensive fouls.

MD ties the game at 50, then IU goes on a 7-0 run. Timeout MD.

Such a punk ass move from a punk ass team at the end of the game.
IU won 68-61.
IU possessed the ball near the MD baseline. Just waiting a couple of seconds for the clock to run out. MD player (Sellers, I think) comes from behind and takes the ball.
MD just can't get any lower in class. They would have to climb a tall ladder to even get out of the basement.

I was at the game and noticed Coach Frese yell at her immediately afterwards, "Why did you do that?!"
I've never cared for Sellers.

Well that gives me some hope.

Hmm. Well, for all the reported *ugliness*, I thought the game was fairly interesting, especially the first quarter. Yeah, IN's FTs were dismal, but....at 51% on FGs and 40% on 3s, they more than made up for it.
I'm imagining how much better MD might have been had Angel Reese stayed there (and how much better OR coulda been with Miss Parrish! ). Diamond is a pretty extraordinary player, but....I'm tempted to ponder how well she might have done under another coach. I know Brenda has put some greats out there (Toliver, etc.), but....I think Miss Diamond is still in "the rough", with best days ahead.
The most impressive part of the game? To me, that was Indiana's consistency and discipline for all 4 quarters.
A close second was the FULL HOUSE in attendance; awesome. To see the empty arenas at the TN/Texas A&M game or the NC State/FL State games was really a bit sad.

What Teri Moren has done at Indiana is nothing short of spectacular. I love it when a school finds the coach, and vice versa, that just puts the program over the top.
