I hope this isn't a repeat of last year at Georgia Tech. I would hope the team is a little more mentally prepared for this, this time around, but ya ever know. These injuries have to be so burdensome and deflating for the players.

32-20 at the half. This is either a battle of great defenses or of effete offenses. You vote.
Geno plays Deberry! Necessity is the mother of invention.
Aside from two decent assists, Ducharme has looked like a slow, fumbley klutz whose shots don't get close to feeling steel. |

If you’re talking about LLS, she got the player of the game interview in another game. I don’t know too much about her. But the opportunity opened up for her.

UConn held Princeton to 20 pts. in the half. UConn looked very shaky early until they accepted that they couldn't shoot and focussed on defense. Passing has been bad.
Muhl takes a shot to the head (another no call where the UConn player is put out of the game) and is helped to the lockerroom.

Muhl out of the game with two quick brutal shots to the head w 7 minutes to go in 3Q. Tiger elbow to the mouth knocked her neck back, and as she was falling, Edwards knee smashed into the back of her head snapping her neck forward. In the locker. |

Ducharme out with 4 fouls in 3Q. Senechal and Bettencourt handling PG duties.
Senechal back at Fairfield . . . the only player on her team with a shot. |

If Princeton had anyone who could shoot, they could be winning this game. They've gotten 7 more shots and are getting good, open opportunities, but they've got people shooting 0-4, 0-3, 4-14, etc., and 29% overall, while UConn is shooting 54%.
Consequently, UConn has a 14 pt lead after 3 quarters.

Patterson just sat after getting her 3rd foul in only 6 minutes of play.
How's that going to work against South Carolina?

Who would have predicted THIS UConn lineup a month ago?

That's the second recent no-call on a Princeton player hammered on a chippie. Even the SNY announcers were asking "where's the foul call" on the second one.

It's a TWO POINT GAME with 46 seconds to go.
Who'd a thunk?

Anyone know the status of Edwards and her wearing of that facemask? I'm thinking it might be hindering with her spatial relation/depth perception or something. In 2 games she's bumped into 2 teammates and one's out 3-6 wks. and the other may have a concussion. Just sayin, maybe lose the mask if you can or get a more streamlined one! #courtsafety

5.2 seconds to go, Princeton inbounding down 3, and they throw the ball out of bounds.

Well, Bettencourt will make everyone forget her 4 turnovers by draining the game winning free throws at the end. That was clutch.

What happens when you have to play players in pressure situations in which they've never been allowed to play: Keystone Kops street ball.
Fortunately, street ball is Aubrey (29 pts.) Griffin's game. |

1-12 one game and 11-11 the next? That's pretty bizarro.
What's Brenda drawing up for Sunday? They should press the entire game. UConn had 27 turnovers.

An ugly win for sure. I prefer to see it as gritty.
Griffin was 11-11 for 29 pts (2-2 3's). 5-5 (1-1) in the 4th. 10 rebounds, zero to's. And she was responsible for a lot of the Tigers' scoring trouble.

Why did Senechal not play the last 5 minutes or so, the entire crunch time? She had been the most effective shooter up until that time. I certainly hope someone asks Geno in the presser. |

Twitter seems to think there was an injury.
We’re the deepest team in the country at the guard spot. And we’re now out of guards.
