Moving the injury replacement threshold from 4min up to 10min seems fair to me too. I know okstateguy and thardy also had really bad luck with injuries last week to Jordan Horston and Diamond Miller.

Would be nice if we could get something like a majority vote in favor of this before implementing it next week?

My only concern is that there can be other reasons for a player having less than 10 minutes besides an injury. Two of the starters for Northwestern played 10 and 12 minutes today because they were ejected. Similarly players could get in early foul trouble and not reach 10 minutes.

If the majority want 10 minutes that is OK. I would like a carve out for ejections or fouls but I fear that could be difficult for the statskeeper.

I'm good for 10 minutes, regardless of the cause. I don't want any of us fantasizers to get screwed - and if you limit it only to injuries, then it becomes really hard for scorekeepers to try to figure out, especially for some of the 'minor' games where it's hard to get a report about what happened.

Strike the entire previous comment. It's been a helluva week and in my sleep-deprived head I misplaced TO's with fouls.

I second Myrtle's expanded 10 minute proposal

Braun is out for tonights game for Minnesota. Since she's in my lineup for this week, I'll replace her with:

McKenna Hofschild, G, Colorado State vs. Mississippi State 11/20/22

Two notes on my lineup this week:

Brooke Flowers, St Louis game against Green Bay is on 11/18, not 11/17.

Dauriana Lewis is out today against LIU. If she doesn't play Monday against Penn St I will have Aaliyah Edwards Sunday against NC St (I really don't like that matchup.)

I didn't see your original post, but if you thought myrtle was saying games shouldn't count if players have more than a certain number of turnovers, then I find that very funny Laughing Laughing Laughing

Agreed.

I like both players. If they have a good shooting day they can win two categories by themselves. I just hope Robertson doesn't have too many more like today (Maybe it was the altitude in Provo.)

well, Mikesell evened it out today 1-8 from three.

ok, we're going to the wild side:
Waive Latascya Duff, New Mexico and
sign Mackenzie Kramer, g, Lehigh

she was on my preseason list but couldn't quite bring myself to pull the trigger when her first games were at SDSU and Minnesota.

so tbinta and I go down to the wire and it will depend on the performances of our players tomorrow:
Her experienced Padilla vs my Freshman Van Slooten. [gulp]

We've both had some less than stellar performances to date, mixed with a couple of nice ones.

Janiah Barker went 3-11 from the FT line in her debut in my lineup yesterday ---- that's a quick way to get DROPPED. Evil or Very Mad

Can't believe I'm doing this but I'm going to head to Boulder and take Quay Miller, C, Colorado.

Right? She only seems to play well from my bench.

I'm sorry to have been gone for so long, just so much travel.

In the Discord, it did come up whether we needed to institute an IR this season as someone has an injured player. I think the consensus between Undersized and myself has been that since you have four bench players, you can use one of those spots to hold on to an injured player who may be coming back soon; however, I wanted to open this up to the floor for further discussion around what seems fair. I don't mind having an IR - but the rules would have to be stringent surrounding the fact that a player would need to miss at least one/two games before you can move them there and they would need to play one game before becoming active again.

Are there any other comments that I need to address?

I have no input about the IR. I'm fine with whatever you come up with.

OTOH my lineup is in serious need of repair

time to waive a Lucy and sign an Emma. Not sure Emma is a longtime solution for our woes but we’ll give her a shot. Can’t be worse (can it?)
bye bye Lucy Cochrane, tf Portland (a team that can’t figure out how to use a 6/7” player. hopeless)

tf: : Monika Czinano, Iowa v OrSU 11/25 [Friday] in Portland

If we're changing from 4 minutes to 10 minutes for a player's game to count, perhaps that should be added to the rules?
