Chicago was the better team in every way in the first half. They're getting way too many easy shots. It was heartbreaking to see that nice play off the timeout at the end of the half get cancelled by the easy layup on the other end.

Let's see what the 2022 Liberty can summon up for the second half! Hopefully at least some excitement.

The Lib can't win if Howard plays like this. They totally need her, both defensively and also to make those little short shots she's missing. It's like the Liberty need to be firing on all cylinders to have a chance...but they aren't.

A 12 point lead at the half is not good enough on the road. I hope Chicago doesn't take that for granted. NYL will go back to what worked for them in the 1st qtr....they.....are....coming.

The Sky have to keep driving - can't let up the intensity and clean up some of the sloppiness that is appearing.

Glad Playoff Emma has showed up!

I agree.... don't settle for 3s.... midrange shots are just as nice... Exclamation

Edit, and just like that Chicago jacks up two 3's for the miss.

Chicago giving New York a chance to get back into the game. How courteous of them.

Two at a time works!

Gotta take it to the hole - draw some fouls. Shooting well there so far, need more!

They really need to stop with the 3s unless they have touched the paint first...are wide open and promise ME they are going to get the ball if they miss!! Laughing

Chicago has looked so much better... the game has been such a struggle for the Liberty... and yet it's only a 10-point lead going to the 4th quarter!

If we were at home, I would have shouted "That's my girl!" about Gardner - she is awesome! Very Happy

Wow - that went from 4 to 20 real quick.

New York definitely woke up the dragon.

Ionescu has to improve her ball handling for this team to take the next step. The shot, the passing....all of that is there but any type of legit pressure and she's picking the ball up...Emma Meesseman should be a mismatch in her eyes, not forcing her to pick up the ball and travel.

It's no secret why they took off once they actually started playing her with a point guard.

That should do it. The run to get to 3 was a nice final treat, but then 8 straight missed shots was just too much to overcome.

Chicago is better than NY at four out five positions and has a better bench

Good fight by the Liberty against the defending champions. Nice game by Laney.
