So although Clark is a junior, like Kris Murray, and is 21, as was Keegan when he turned pro a year ago, she is ineligible to take her talents to the WNBA. With a January birthday, she won’t be allowed to do so until 2024, when she is a senior. That’s ridiculous. Unfair. Inequitable. Straight-up sexist.

though the unfairness will be balanced out for the foreseeable future by these wcbb superstars keeping themselves in school because their NIL deals are as competitive in pay, if not straight-up better, than the money they'd make as professionals (W + overseas)

not to mention cushier travel (school charters vs flying commercial) and a lot less imposing of a playing schedule (student-athletes don't compete in two different leagues in a rolling 12-month period, after all)

I'm interested in opinions on whether others here find this rule "sexist." I'm all for calling out sexism in sports, but the decision isn't being made by the same people for the men and the women. I also personally like this rule and would rather see it extended to men than relaxed for women. I'm not entirely sure what I think though and am very interested in opposing opinions.

Dumb rule, these women are adults and can make up their own minds about when to leave school or not.

There's no evidence Clark would come out now even if she could.

Of course but the choice should be available!
