Someday after the plague and after we have done the Southwest Chief and the Empire Builder, I want to do the Coast Starlight route.

(I don't drive but I like trains! We got some amazing views of the Rockies on our honeymoon on the California Zephyr!)

And no, that is not like CT playing in AC, AT ALL.

It's hard to envision a more archetypal UConn fan post than this one.

First comes the utter nonsense. "180 miles in Texas, and a lot of other areas of the USA, is not much more of a drive than 80 in a state like CT."

No, sorry. There are a lot of differences between Connecticut and Texas, but measurement of distance isn't one of them. 180 miles is exactly the same in both places, and in both, 80 is less than half as far.

Next comes the manifestation of total hubris. "And no, that is not like CT playing in AC, AT ALL." Evidently this was considered self explanatory (it's not) and we are all to accept it as obviously true just because you say so. And especially since you highlight it with ALL CAPS.

And UConn fans wonder why the rest of the WBB world derides them?

Even considering the source, I'm surprised at the ignorance. The snark, though, is par for the course.

What year did Notre Dame pay for a WCB Regional to be played at the Joyce Center?
