Miles plainly got fouled on that last shot, well before time expired.

I think that ref has it in for ND. Wink Pretty sure that he's the one that called that weak foul on Dotson.

I predict this is gonna come down to the were. ND's FG% (57ish) is tough to maintain, and NCs def oughtta pick up a bit. And they're taking care of the ball well, with only 4 TOs.

These are the games we've been waiting for, baby! Cool

This felt like a really fast half.
I do like Diamond - her energy is big for NCState

I haven't seen many ND games this year, but Miles is definitely living up to her billing. I was intrigued about Citron before the season began but I think she has just slowly been coming on as the season progresses. Two very nice Freshmen for the future.

One eligibility quirk - because of the Covid free year, Westbeld still has three years left. If they all stayed, Miles, Citron and Westbeld could play together for four years.

Well, there's a lot of game left, but I'd rather be up by 8 than behind by 8.

NC State already shooting better from outside the paint this half. But Miles is still making some amazing shots.

Also NC State's post entry passing is leaving a lot to be desired. ND is working hard to keep Cuanne out and getting to a 3/4 front and NC State keeps passing right to the defenders side.

There's that ref again. Weak call on Citron and then no call when Citron is fouled on the drive.

I've really been liking this matchup zone ND has been playing. It's really developed and come along the second half of the year and has become very disruptive and reasonably effective.

Well, at least they're consistent. Probably could have called a foul on that forced buzzer beater too, just like at the end of the first half.

A LOT of times during the tourney I've thought tf they keep making blocking calls on plays like what they just made on Westbeld, how are defenders ever going to defend a post player down low?

The offensive player backs down the defender and when the defender puts up any resistance, it seems like they call a foul on the defense.

I'm getting a little tired of it.

I was totally surprised that they didn't!

Difference in players, in part. When you have someone like Dodson with long arms and can jump, you can throw it up over the defender. Cunane's arms aren't that long and she is glued to the floor, so the passes are lower and Westbeld has gotten her hands on a few.

Halfway there. Lead went from 8 to 7, but, again, I'll take it.

I want to see the baseline view of that foul on Miles.

Perez has been a brick after brick. Continue to let her shoot oof

NC State has no answer or solution to Miles on anything - whether it's her scoring, passing, or driving. Nothing.

Refs going easy on Dodson. She should be fouled out by now.

Damnit ND! They look like they are trying to run the clock out and are not running the typical offense. Like a prevent defense in football!

I think I would have called timeout and told Notre Dame that they needed to stop throwing cross court passes that Crutchfeld could intercept and take in for a layup after the third one.

Crutchfield MVP if NC State pulls it out, otherwise its Miles by a large margin
