Wonder how often we'll see Siegrist and Hillmon guard each other, and how either matchup will go.

This is going to be a fun one. I've called the Big East "Diet Big 10" all year and this is another intriguing matchup. Whoever wins the rebounding battle, wins this game, IMO. KBA knows Villanova well, but she knows Harry coached BE teams. Denise Dillon is different and this team is good. I can't wait for this one.

Both Siegrist and Hillmon can score out to the arc—Siegrist to the 3pt arc and Hillmon to the restricted area arc.
I suspect no one on Villanova is tall enough to stop Hillmon's post moves if she gets her position in the low post. I have no idea who will win, though rooting for Villanova. I suppose Villanova will have to overcome Hillmon's points with smart motion cut scoring and a lot of 3pt makes, plus holding UM's other players down with tough defense, to win the game. |

Siegrist is now Villanova’s all-time leading scorer, and still only a junior. I confess to kind of rooting for Villanova here, even though they kicked JMU’s asses in the last meeting and Dillon is not exactly beloved here.

They weren't clear with their phrasing: no Wildcat has scored more points in her junior season than Siegrist. She's still chasing the 2408 career points of Shelly Pennefather. One more year like this and she'll do it, too.
(as a basketball fan, I hope Siegrist follows a different post-Villanova career, tough)

This game may come down to how long Hillman can carry her team.
Lately it seems that 3pt scoring is a key to winning.
32-29 at the half.

The someone who is comparing Siegrist to EDD is someone who doesn't follow WBB. Siegrist is good, but that's like comparing the tooth fairy to Santa Claus. |

Commentators actually making a good technical point that Nova is often not running their usual motion offense. They have been getting lots of cuts for layups but have missed 65% of them. Then, because they are getting hammered on the boards, they can't get offensive rebounds. |

7 points in the final 12 minutes isn't going to cut it, Villanova.

I had hopes for Villanova, but…..oh well, they’ve had a good year.

They bring back everyone except Herlihy, and while that's not a small loss, they have the personnel to step up.
As a Big East fan who is not a Villanova fan I am nervous, to put it mildly.
