24 schools got both their men's and women's teams in the tournament. Can any of them join UConn as the only school to win both the same year?

Arizona
Arkansas
Baylor
Connecticut
Creighton
Delaware
Gonzaga
Indiana
Iowa
Iowa State
Kansas
Kentucky
Longwood
LSU
Miami Florida
Michigan
Montana State
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Tennessee
Texas
Villanova
Virginia Tech

Arizona, Baylor, and Tennessee are probably the only 3 that have a decent shot. Even then, I'd say Baylor is the only one likely to compete for the honor, but I ultimately see the women's team bowing out before the Championship game.

It's interesting that none of the women's #1 seeds got their men's team in

Arizona wbb could overachieve their way back into the title game again.

Arizona mbb is considered by a few to be the best overall team in men’s college basketball.

So I would put Arizona as the likeliest school. As always, the odds remain low for any given year that it happens (again).

Baylor surely has the highest combined M/W seed: 1/2. But I don't think anyone will be joining the team from the former "Basketball Capital of the World."

Baylor has a realistic chance, considering that realistic in this context is still remote and highly unlikely. But if it were to happen, I don't believe that in retrospect it would be considered excessively shocking.

I don't think the AZ women's team is realistic, although their men's team certainly is. And I don't expect either Tennessee M or W to be there. My dark horse would be Kentucky - unlikely to win either, but certainly capable of winning both.

I was thinking the same thing re: Kentucky, though the men's team isn't looking good so far.

Welllllllllllll......

2 seed Kentucky just lost to 15 seed St Peter's, so you can cross them off the list.

Along with UConn and Indiana and Iowa.

LMAO at the Kentucky men getting taken out by St. Peter's. I actually had to look up where St. Peter's even IS! Go home and sit down, Calipari.

Looks like actress and UK fan Ashley Judd will have to show up at the women's games now. Wink

I think the state of New Jersey may actually hold title to the state of Kentucky now. I don't make the rules.
