If there is a way to link an ad page in the New York Times, I don't know how. Perhaps someone else can.

The WNBPA Executive Committee and the WNBPA Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee have put a full-page ad in the first section of Sunday's New York Times endorsing #ReproductiveRightsNow. For anyone interested, the full text is below.

***********

At the top are images for the WNBPA, Planned Parenthood, Athletes for Impact, Beyond Sovereignty, Sister Song, and Noise for Now

The text:

As professional athletes, our bodies are our instruments. Our livelihoods. Our craft.

Which means control of-and-over-our bodies, both on and off the basketball court, is about much more than athletic performance, earning potential, or personal politics.

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS. FAMILY PLANNING IS FREEDOM.

Abortion, birth control, and fertility care are vital--not just for athletes who can get pregnant, but for all families and gender identities.

That's why we as members of the WNBPA are proud to stand with everyone who's fighting back against the cruel abortion bans in Texas and across the country.

Today, alongside Planned Parenthood, Athletes for Impact, Seeding Sovereignty, SisterSong, and Noise for Now, we invite you to join us in speaking out against oppressive laws--and lawmakers--that dehumanize us, deny our fundamental freedoms, and attempt to dictate our most basic rights.

Our demand is simple: #ReproductiveRightsNow.

Because this isn't just our fight. It's everyone's.
Our bodies, our health, and our futures are our OWN.
Together, let's tell politicians to keep their hands off our reproductive rights--and their #BansOffOurBodies.

Sincerely,

the Members of the WNBPA Executive Committee and the WNBPA Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee:

Nneka Ogwumike, President; Layshia Clarendon, First Vice President; Chiney Ogwumike, Vice President; Sue Bird, Vice President; Satou Sabally, Vice President; Elizabeth Williams, Secretary; Nat Achonwa, Treasurer; Sydney Colson, Member; Tierra Ruffin-Pratt, Member; Breanna Stewart, Member; A'ja Wilson, Member.

I totally agree with you Bob!
I don't know how to post it here but maybe one of the Organizations mentioned will post it here.

The thing I did find strange was that 5 members of the WNBPA signed the ad
with their numbers after their name . Like they were signing autographs ????
I wonder is they sign bank checks or voting ballots that way ?

I hadn't noticed that, but of course you're right. Quite intriguing.

If the WNBPA picked up digital signatures they should have deleted the Jersey Numbers, but a most powerful ad for our times (oh no pun intended)
I truly hope it helps in the fight for Reproductive Rights
