Speaking of her hope and pray feb 1st she’s resigning . If so I’m curious as to how many years she signs for is she stays with Seattle. It’s all but obvious an NY return is on her mind .

Hopefully its a replacement of Prince and her 115.000 not guaranteed contract. January can play backup to Loyd aswell and she brings perimeter shooting so she can play alongside Canada too

This is what I thought would happen. Put the band back together (well, as together as possible) for one more run in Bird's farewell year in the new arena, then keep options open past that.

Now let the other dominoes fall! Really curious where everything ends up.

Sad to see that she only signed for 1 year. I was hoping for 2 atleast. Now ive read that Loyd was meeting with the Liberty aswell last week. So are they both gonna sign for 1 year and then both leave to New York? That would pretty much ruin the team Confused

Since Loyd is cored, could she leave after a year, other than a trade?

Yeah, that was my thought all along, unfortunately... Confused

It also means Sue is most likely going to retire after this year, even though she has a lot left in the tank. She could play well into her 40s, like Tom Brady did, but he just retired today Shocked

Well, Stewart goes from one HoF PG to another in Ionescu.. Idea

As Storm fans, we are used to the kind of loyalty that we have seen from Jackson and Bird. But that's not normal. That's rare. Stewart might play many more years in Seattle and win us more championships, or she may be gone in a year. Stewart is going to be wherever she wants to be. Even if we use our core designation on her once it is available, if she no longer wants to be in Seattle, she'll just force a trade. For a player of her caliber, THAT is normal. And she would end up on whichever team she wanted. No team would hesitate to welcome her with open arms because she's not just a top talent, but she is also one of the classiest players in the league.

Stewart staying for 1 year most likely for Bird's last year. And then going to either NY or wherever Paige Buekers goes in the following year's Draft, so she has a great PG to play with (preferably a UConn one.) Guess now would be NY, as she's played well with a couple of their players previously and again, she gets a great PG . Chicago would be an option too, but it appears Vanderquig's Russian team wants to pay her not to play.

I hate free agency as all the players go to a few teams while the rest simply simmer in olive oil and continue to lose their best/better players. YMMV on either of these topics is welcomed.

I doubt stewie is concerned with playing with Bueckers at this point in her career Laughing Laughing

Sources also confirm to me and

@herhoopstats

that Briann January's deal with

@seattlestorm

is one year, protected, for $140,000. All these deals will be added to the cap sheets at Her Hoop Stats shortly: https://herhoopstats.com/salary-cap-sheet/wnba/team/… #WNBA #WNBAFreeAgency

140.000 is more then i expected

According to Winsidr the Storm traded KLS for Gabby Williams. I like this move. Gabby can be a fantastic SF for us

It’s rumored by someone with Sparks inside connections that Canada is getting signed by the Sparks.
