I could get into doing this. Are we going to pick an existing team to begin with that we are drafting for? or are we assuming we have no players and are trying to build a team from scratch?

Yes. My idea was that we would pick an existing team and act as if we were the GM's for our "Rookie Fantasy Draft".

Alright sounds like we have 3 so far, including myself. Im thinking we could have the draft maybe a week b4 the actual one, whenever that is. What teams would you two like to be GM's of? I'll take the last team to be picked.

I know we all have lives outside of Rebkell and the WNBA. Laughing I've noticed that like myself, a lot of board members here like to post their mock drafts and see what others like and don't. Anyone interested in some type of "Fantasy Mock Draft"? Kind of like Swishappeal, but a little different. 12 of us would get on Rebkel (on a day agreed upon before draft day) and draft players from a list of college seniors. Pretty much our own WNBA draft. We can have a pretend commissioner to start and post the draft picks for each team. Inbox me or let me know if you are interested. Just a little something to keep those basketball junkies, like myself busy before the draft and tourney.

I've done this many times before, and every time I won, I couldn't prove it until several years later because many players take a few years to develop. It can still be fun, though.. Confused

Alright guys if you're interested list the team you would like to be the GM of in your post. After 11 people have selected teams I will take the last team. So far we possibly have 4 GM's, including myself, and Shades is the only one to have selected a team. I listed Admiral underneath, but he/she hasn't said "Yes" yet. So far...

Connecticut- Admiral
Tulsa- Shades
San Antonio- TotalCardinalMove
New York- JSpoon
Indiana- Randy
Washington... Terpsforever
Storm- FollowtheCardinalRule
Dream..
Fever- Randy
Sky- Myrtle
Sparks- Hangtyme24
Lynx...
-----
Phoenix- Bigbri131014 (no first round pick)

I'm not attached. I'd be fine with Chicago, Seattle, Indiana, NY, Washington, San Antonio. Or anybody else! I love to think about 'em all. So I'm fine to wait until others have picked. Just save me somebody.

I'll take Indiana since they have two first round picks and I think the Dram will end up trading thiers.

I'll take New York Liberty, since I can't possibly do worse than Bill.

Unless, Queenie wants her Liberty, instead I'll take the Storm.

At least he knows who's signed and who's hurt while we're pretty clueless out here. Razz

That especially goes for the Lynx. Any pertinent information on the bench is on lockdown. Gotta give Laimbeer props for volunteering that update.

I don't know how fair this is (even though I'm sure you are joking) Bone was a great pick at #5, T. Young still has the potential to be better than most picked after her, and K. Williams showed flashes throughout the season, I'm willing to wait and see where they stack up in their draft class after this season ends.

Sure.. I guess I'm always up for a W fantasy game even if no one can be declared a winner for several years Razz

I guess I'll take Connecticut. After coming up with the Charles/Nneka+Toliver trade, I feel a little more connected to the franchise, so why not select them for the draft as well.. That and someone already took the Storm!

OK count me in. But my work schedule is annoying so Sunday and Monday's are the only evening I'm free. If that doesn't work I'll let someone with a better schedule take NY. Also I'm not sure I want to take the heat for my possible picks, at least round 3 won't disappoint anyone.
