It's weird how McCoughtry is a beast on the court but she throws a t-shirt llike a girly girl.

Should be a fun series if these two teams meet in the playoffs.

It won't be fun for martini_man Wink

Good basketball is fun for me whoever wins. Cool And today, that was some good basketball that wasn't even fouled up by poor officiating. Was great all around.

Love her or hate her, that was the sign of an MVP caliber player tonight the way Angel took over in the 4th to secure her team the win.

It's September, and Ms. September is back (as opposed to Reggie Jackson's old Mr. October persona). Now, if the Dark Angel can learn to fully work with her teammates, she would be such a more complete player and have a much better chance at a championship.

OT=It's about time that the league record some new imagines for WNBA ACTION. They have been showing the same ones over and over. All these games that have been played should have produced some new story lines and new top ten plays.

BTW Great game between the Sun and the Dream! Now we know why they kept Angel.

Interesting- second game in recent times that Mike's run everyone into the ground in the fourth quarter (did the same thing against Chicago last week).

Which I realize is not the stat you were highlighting, but one that intrigues me anyway.

I like that Fred is taking charge and putting people on the bench who miss meetings, trainings or similar things

I'm not sure whether Mike has a lot of options at the moment. But that fourth quarter was simply a tremendous advertisement for the WNBA. If Montgomery's shot had gone down, they might still be playing...

Quote:
"I was so excited," McCoughtry said. "It felt so good to be back on the floor. I'll never take basketball for granted again."

Quote:
"We all know she can do that," Lyttle said. "To prove it with all the nonsense we had going on proves she's a good player and she can help us win."

Quote:
"I was never worried about that," McCoughtry said when asked if she thought she'd be able to rejoin the Dream. "I was just worried about the pressure on the team with all this."

Quote:
"It's a first step," Williams said of McCoughtry's return. "It means a lot not only to me, but her teammates. . It's not just one player. It's a team sport."

I think Sancho's comment is quite telling.

If all the rest holds true and the TEAM that was out there today (with the new found half-courtish offense) stays healthy and has a few weeks to gel...they can be scary good...just in time for the play-offs!

This is what irks me about Mike, he could have had options but he chose not to draft anyone that could help him.

How can that be? Tiffany Hayes wouldn't even make his team. Laughing

Well, unless she suddenly grew five inches, it wouldn't solve the immediate issue of a roster with 2.3 healthy posts. Wonder what Astan Dabo is doing these days...

Now you've got me wondering if that was a typo of '2/3', or if not, what parts of the 1.3 Griffin and Moore make up Wink.
