Chad Ford, Marc Stein and Henry Abbott all added to the list today, among others. This is an absolute demolition of their website content. I understand that the people who've been around a while are likely the highest-paid, but most of them have also built their reputations with quality work. They're excising all the people who made it worth paying them any attention.

It's too bad the solution ends up being to lay off large amounts of high-paid people rather than re-negotiate all their salaries to reflect declines in revenues. If ESPN is hurting, the competing networks must be as well, so they shouldn't be able to match their current ESPN salaries without financial problems themselves.

Chad Ford was lucky to keep his job at all after this farce:

Apparently Dave O'Brien got the boot.

While I don't wish that on anyone, I can think of few terminations that will do more to improve WBB announcing.

SC6 is terrible. Hardly watch Sportscenter at all now.

Wow. I've heard that saying "One man's meat is another man's poison" but, seriously. I never watched Sportscenter until #TheSix happened. What they were doing before is the opposite of what I want out of sports coverage.

I bet you're a fan of "We Need to Talk" on CBSSN too, right?

I'd never even heard of it. CBSSN isn't really relevant to my interests. Do they cover WNBA games?

He's got the Boston Red Sox TV job to fall back on.
