45 points off of TO's and just 4 fastbreak points. Crazy stuff. |
The Fever had 76 full offensive possessions overall. So the 52 that didn't originate from a Shock turnover only produced 37 points (0.71 ppp), compared with 45 in the other 24 (1.88). And as you indicate, there weren't an inordinate amount of Indiana steals or break opportunities. Just a real outlier...

Well you know what they say about defense creating offense...
Or should I say, you know what they say about Detroit playing like crap creating Indiana's offense...

Take another little piece of my heart please Shock. Watch out...it sort of looks as if your beginning to circle the drain. Glad I went to the movies tonight instead.

Wow, what a game! So great I had to party afterwards.
Once the Fever started clicking, they were unstoppable.
HUGE kudos to Bri! Love that little spark plug. When she out jumped Ford for a rebound omg... her knees were almost at the rim, I swear.
Shay's buzzer beater was, well GREAT!
And the crowd... best regular season crowd since the game against Detroit in 2007 (when we were 16-4)
19-5, baby, keep it going! |

According to my count, Zellous is 44-93 from the field since her 1 for 11 against Connecticut on July 11th. That's .473 from the field. She is starting to do more than just be reliant on drawing fouls. She mentioned in an article that her goal was to get over 40 percent from the field. She is now at .399.

That was unreal - she was SO high going for that rebound!
I read in the paper today that Bri's parents were in town for the game. A nice performance in front of family.
I loved the rookies going at each other all night. I think Zellous got three steals off Briann - that ain't easy to do. |
Agree, that was an amazing rebound, and a very good performance by both rookies (January and Zellous).
What a terrific game! It was so nice to see a relatively large crowd, including people sitting up in the nosebleed sections. There was a nice letter to the Editor in the Sports section of the Indy Star yesterday, too, about increasing the attendance at games to support the Fever. Looks like some people heeded that suggestion.
Plus, I got a great pic with Katie Smith, and she kindly signed my Wheaties box. She is awesome!!
