Cal USC so far a good matchup early in the second.

Duke has JPM and they don't.

And Duke has officially hit irrelevancy. Don't even rate having their own game thread.
I am revising the annual Duke vs UNC chant (GTHCGTH):

Cal beats USC. How silly of me to bet 'over' on a P12 game. 62-59

Huge win for the Bears. Have to say I was worried when Anigwe was fouled out with 5 minutes to go (Yes I worded it that way on purpose), but the Bears showed tremendous grit down the stretch.

My budget is extremely grateful Happycappie didn't challenge me to the usual bet of loser buys dinner.
Freshmen, man. Can't live with 'em, can't keep the program going without 'em.

Nebraska, which has been very impressive of late, may get their second top-25 win in as many games. 40-34 over Rutgers nearing the end of 3Q. The Huskers are shooting 50%.

South Florida lost to Wichita St by blowing the game in the 4th quarter, getting outscored 20-6 to fall 64-56.
Looks like the AAC is a bit down this year. UConn looks beatable at times and the rest of the conference is below past years' editions.

JMU beat UNCW in Wilmington, 68-43. Another balanced scoring effort with 14 from Lexie Barrier, 12 from Kamiah Smalls, and 10 out of Devon Merritt. Kelly Koshuta did not make the weekend swing south, being home sick with the crud.

Nebraska trounced Purdue in Lincoln, 75-51. The Huskers stay in the hunt for the top 4 which get the double-bye in the B1G tourney.
